'tis the season to be….

…… how would you complete that sentenceFirst name / my love?

jolly?
jolly overwhelmed?
jolly exhausted?
losing my sh*t?
totally f*cking exhausted?

Wherever you are at, feel it and know that I see you.

In my latest podcast episode of the same name, I speak about the seasons of both winter and Christmas, and how we can feel stretched and squeezed between the 2; it's often a time where we lose ourselves… but why?

Because we think and feel we can't say no.

Got to buy presents for everyone
Got to be present at every social

And at a time of year that literally tells us to slow down and hibernate.

I get it, you feel obliged.

And this might not be a time fo year where you want to start seeing if you can find the courage to say no.

So how about smaller boundaries that give you a little sense of balance and control back?

Can you reduce the amount of presents you buy with suggestion of a secret santa, or a spending budget?

Can you reduce the time you're at a social gathering rather than not go at all?

Think ‘little wins’ rather than big changes.

ANd I know that some of you are going through an exceptionally hard time right now, and presents and socials are the last thing on your mind… but maybe can you offer yourself small boundaries of time and rest and a little bit of hibernation?

Reflections

December is a time of year where we can lose ourselves even more…

Instead, can you be curious to little boundaries you can put in that help you reconnect to you First name / my love

Rather than seek to make a big change, can you offer yourself compassion for the tired you that really needs a break?

As always, if you have any questions, let me know, and if this is something you want to work on in more depth, I have the new community and 1:1 spaces in my online 1:1 therapy practice from January 4th.. if you want to explore the things stopping you from being more ‘you’, is 2026 the time?

If it is, drop me an email and let's have chat.

I'll be back soon, and for now?

Go love yourself more,
