I'm so thrilled to share that my contribution is a BRAND NEW Kirby Falls holiday-themed short story (featuring a couple of leafers who get snowed in with only one bed). I hope you enjoy it!!

I am ridiculously excited about this project. I've been keeping it secret for over a year! Each day in December, readers will be able to visit bookishadventcalendar.com
to receive an EBOOK FREEBIE. It could be a novella, a short story, a full-length novel. WHO KNOWS? That's the fun of it. Each day will feature a fantastic SURPRISE by an AMAZING romance author. So, don't forget to stop by once a day, from now until Christmas, and get the goods! WooHOO! I am so grateful for all the wonderful authors who agreed to participate. The line-up is legitimately ridiculous. Prepare yourselves (and treat yourselves too).

Personal / Writing Life
  • November was a release month, and that is always a busy time. My kids also decided to start new hobbies and clubs at school. My oldest joined the competitive Math Club. They prep for a regional competition against other middle schools in the spring. Yeah, I'm not sure how he's my kid, either, but he loves math. They've been meeting TWICE a week, and I've been adjusting our schedule accordingly. My youngest joined the LEGO robotics team, and he's been enjoying that.
  • I also took a quick trip to Florida to see one of my good friends get married. I had a wonderful time, got to meet some internet friends, AND visited The New Romantics Book Store (see photo below) which was amazing.
  • Currently, I'm working on Joan's book! This will be the final book in the Kirby Falls series. Leaf Well Enough Alone is coming May 26, 2026!!
  • I just finished reading Mate by Ali Hazelwood and OMGGGGGG, she's so good at writing banter. I'm obsessed with this series. All hail, Queen Ali. She's an icon.

Monthly Recipe
I love to cook and bake, so I thought it might be fun to include a favorite recipe in my newsletters.
*not responsible if it turns out bad*
Ā
This one is super easy, and I'm not sure if I can even call it a recipe. It's a sandwich. But it's delicious and perfect for this time of year. If you have any leftover Thanksgiving turkey still in your fridge, it would be great on this.
  • Two slices of your favorite bread (I've been enjoying this one)
  • Sliced chicken (or turkey) breast (I use rotisserie a lot)
  • Bibb lettuce
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Blue Cheese Roasted Pecan Dip (from Trader Joe's)
I lightly toast my bread and then assemble. If you can't find the blue cheese dip or don't have a Trader Joe's, you could probably substitute cream cheese spread (the garlic and herb or chive flavors are nice on sandwiches). That's it! Add salt and pepper, if you fancy. ;)Ā
