I'm sure your inbox is filled with worthy pleas for your money and we at The Hill is Home are no different. |
The difference, though, comes in that we want you to consider giving to an organization that does incredible work right in our backyard: Capitol Hill Village. |
CHV is an invaluable tool for folks who want to keep calling the Hill their Home. Perhaps many of our readers are young and thinking of starting a family, or caring for young children. But as we get older ––and as Gen Xers, Robert and I are facing that particular stage of life–– it's important to get to know your neighbors. To feel like you're part of a community. To know that if something happens, you can rely on your village. |
Capitol Hill Village is that village. It's a non-profit that helps older adults feel cared for and like they are home. And it's a village that allows neighbors, no matter what their age, to help out and treasure our seniors, so that more neighbors can enjoy their home and their independence for longer. |
But don't take it just from me. Listen to Judy, the Executive Director of Capitol Hill Village, and to Gillian, a volunteer. And listen to Ashvita, who just started working at CHV. They get to see how transformational their work can be. |
