I've got a few things to share today but first, I want to switch things up a little bit this week and start with the #CreateWithCatCoq community features. Each week at the end of this newsletter, I share artwork that was submitted for the previous week's drawing challenge. 

 

It's become one of my favorite parts of this whole thing. I love getting to see what everyone's drawing, and more than anything, I love that it's really started to feel like a community. 🤗

 

I've seen so many artists connecting through this challenge, and I hope we can keep it up as we head into the fifth (!!) year of #CreateWithCatCoq. (Yup, I've put out a prompt every single week since 2021. You can find them all here! 👈🏼)

 

Plus, there are literally tens of thousands of people who read this newsletter each week (which still kinda blows my mind - thank you for being here 🫶🏻) so this is a great way to get eyes on your artwork!

 

Instagram is where the challenge is hosted, but they've changed how hashtags are searched and indexed on the platform. So the new way to submit your work is to make sure that I'm tagged in the actual photo or video you're posting (@catcoq). This is how I am able to scroll through the artwork each week!

Your challenge this week is to make a snowflake pattern or illustration. This motif is more seasonal, which means it's super versatile and can be used for any winter collection. 

 

I painted these snowflakes and whipped up a bunch of different colorways that fit for all occasions and winter holidays.
