Artsy Project Update - December 2025Â |

Some of you may remember my collection inspired by the Four Elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Most of those pieces featured the bold, saturated colors of green, yellow, red, and blue. I will be creating a few more pieces within the “Four Elements” theme in the new year.  Part of me wants to revisit those same vivid colors to build on the momentum of the original work. Another part wants to use a quieter, more neutral palette of brown, cream, and black. If you have an opinion either way, please vote below and help me decide! |

The Millennium Seed Bank Did you know that Lady Galadriel…I mean, Cate Blanchett…is the inaugural ambassador for Kew Gardens' Wakehurst site? Located in England, it is home to the Millennium Seed Bank which houses more than 2.5 billion wild plant seeds from around 40,000 species. Amazing! Want to learn more? Here is a PBS article talking about their 25th Anniversary. And you can find a link to Cate's four-episode podcast here. 🌿  Weird Sculpture Gardens Sculpture gardens offer art lovers a unique opportunity to view magnificent works of art while also enjoying a natural setting. It's fun to enjoy art outside, especially when it's weird, wild, and a little baffling. Here are 17 Atlas Obscura favorites to have you scratching your head with wonder. 🎨  What is a Crèche? A crèche, or Nativity scene, tells the story of Jesus Christ’s birth using figures staged in an elaborate environment. Via San Gregorio Armeno (also known as Naples’ Christmas Alley) is a narrow street full of artisans and tiny shops selling sets, figurines and handmade materials for families to make their own nativity scenes. It's a tradition reflected in this short video showcase of last year’s Neapolitan Crèche at the Chicago Art Institute. ✨ |

Thank you for following along with me this past year. (If you’re new here, thank you for joining us!) Your support helps me make progress on my artsy projects - sometimes slowly, sometimes with momentum - but always forward. ➡️  I hope that along the way you are inspired to complete your own artsy projects too. And if you do, please let me know. I look forward to seeing the creative work we can bring into the world in 2026! |

Are you working on a fun project (artsy or otherwise)? I'd love to hear about it and include it in a future update.  Got a question for me? I will reply back or answer it in a future update.  |
