I started the Creative Spark Challenge this year as a way to share inspiration to support our creative practice year round--I can't believe we are already at the last set of prompts! I've really enjoy looking for different ideas, articles, tutorials, and music to share and hope they've been helpful for you. 
 
If you missed any of the past prompts or freebies or would like to refer to them again, you can find them all in the Creative Spark Challenge Library. This is a free resource for you to re-visit any time you'd like.

The Creative Spark Challenge is a free monthly challenge to help you get inspired, excited, and motivated to create! The goal is to make 1 piece of artwork a month this year. At the beginning of each month, I'll randomly draw a prompt card from the Creative Spark Deck to inspire our artwork and I'll share different ideas to help you interpret the prompts we get. You can learn more about the challenge here and find all the prompts here.
 
Whether you consider yourself artistic or not, we are ALL creative in many different ways. I hope the prompts for this month get you thinking and brainstorming and that it helps you take action (even if it's a small one) to express yourself and your imagination!

I've been brainstorming and planning what 2026 will look like when it comes to creating together--here's what I've been thinking of doing...
  • I'll continue to share a prompt card a month, focusing on one prompt to dive into.
  • I'm starting the 100 Day Project on January 1st - April 10th and I'd love for you to join me in filling in one section a day! I'll be sharing 100 prompts if you'd like to use them. If 100 days sounds daunting, try doing 25 instead.
  • Every season I'll be hosting a 21 Every Days Project. This is a 3 week version of my 100 Day Project which I did for the first time this summer with a group of you! It was a lot of fun and I love the idea of capturing a bit of every season throughout the year. Prompts will be provided. This will be happening in April, June, Sept, and the following Jan.
  • The Creative Spark Club--where I'll be sending you projects and inspiration via snail mail--will be running all of 2026! If you've already subscribed, you're all set (and thank you)! If you'd like to join, the cut off for January mail, annual subscriptions (with 1 month free!), annual gift subscriptions is this Friday, December 12th. PS: I loved this celebration cake idea and my friends and I decided to try it! The premise is simple: get a cake or dessert or in our case vegan banana bread and cinnamon buns, write something you are proud of accomplishing / want to celebrate on a piece of paper attached to a skewer, and each person adds their skewer to the cake! I loved seeing what the kids wrote down (ages 8 - 16). I had a hard time thinking of what to write and really want to stop and celebrate the little and big wins more. My friend Emma is planning on sticking celebration notes up in her room and I'm thinking of doing a weekly one in my sketchbook!
