As 2025 comes to a close, I want to share a heartfelt thanks for being part of the community that makes DeSales’ work possible.
This year, we’ve taken important steps toward expanding and preserving affordable housing across St. Louis. Nearly 500 new and renovated affordable homes are now in predevelopment, with early 2026 bringing groundbreakings in Fox Park, Tower Grove East, Benton Park West, Peabody Darst-Webbe, and Carondelet. These projects represent more than buildings—they represent stability, dignity, and opportunity for hundreds of families.
Our property management affiliate, Fox Grove Management, continues to care for more than 1,200 affordable homes citywide. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Fox Grove ensures that thousands of residents have safe homes, responsive management, and a strong sense of belonging. We remain deeply committed to the belief that good property management is community development.
And next year marks a milestone of our own: DeSales turns 50. From our beginnings in a parish church to a team of 50 dedicated staff, our mission has been shaped by neighbors, partners, and supporters who believe—as we do—that every person deserves a stable place to call home. As we celebrate this legacy, we also celebrate the four new developments now moving forward, collectively creating or preserving nearly 500 affordable homes and supporting a vibrant, inclusive future for South St. Louis.
