1 THING TO WATCH FOR:
These writings come from an ancient culture that can seem foreign and sometimes strange or even uncomfortable. And yet in these writings we also see people having experiences that seem familiar to our own.
1 key truth:
In his message “Jesus Christ Is the Treasure,” Elder Dale G. Renlund encouraged us to “remember and always focus on Jesus Christ” (Liahona, Nov. 2023, 98). Consider reading the Old Testament looking for things you can do to find Jesus Christ.
1 DID YOU KNOW:
The scriptural records of words spoken by ‘God’ or the ‘Lord’ are almost always the words of Jehovah, our risen Lord, Jesus Christ” (“The Teachings of Jesus Christ,” Liahona, May 2023, 102).
1 thing to Mark:
Reference—The Old Testament is the story of God seeking to make us His “peculiar treasure” by covenant (Exodus 19:5).
1 PROMISE:
Joshua 1:5
1 PERSONAL REFLECTION:
What could the Old Testament teach us about His life and Atonement?
1 lesson to look forward to:
You and your children could also read Psalm 23 or Isaiah 53:3–9 and find words that remind you of Jesus Christ.

We don’t want you to just understand the Old Testament stories, we hope by the end of this year you will fall in love with them. This Old Testament timeline will help, and it will simplify your study of the Old Testament this year.
Hang it in your home! Use it with your Primary or Sunday class. Maybe you will refer to it as a reference during your personal study.
There are two versions of the timeline:
One is a fully completed timeline.
The other is interactive with blank spaces that you can fill in as we go.

We love studying with you!
grace and David
