Dear Eyes Wide Open Family,
Would you like to hear some good news?
Just like the baby Jesus and his parents received three priceless gifts, we have THREE exciting pieces of good news to share with you today…
1. Despite all of the significant things we still need in order to establish our new temporary home for our EWOI Children's Home in Haiti (like beds and bunk beds, clothing and hygiene items, a table and chairs, rent and transportation, etc.), my precious children asked for one special Christmas gift this year. Because we are able to be together for the first time in 5 years, they asked if we could all have matching Christmas pajamas - like a real family! One of my sons even sent me screenshots of families wearing matching pjs so I could understand his request. Thanks to some quick-working elves at Powell Prints and several generous givers, we were able to produce our very own custom pjs and they are delivering right on time. My design, appearing above, features Jesus in English and Creole, along with the phrases, ‘one love’ and ‘one family.’ Stay tuned for our 2025 Christmas family photo!
2. We have been blown away by abundantly generous, large gifts this year and we are SO grateful. We are thrilled to announce another $10,000 Matching Gift to help us close out 2025. This means every time you give a gift from now through December 31, 2025, it will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. These gifts will help us cover a portion of those remaining significant needs listed above, along with basic needs such as food and clean water, health and wellness, and education. We will be back in your inbox over the last four days of the year with a special series of stories to highlight four ways your prayers and financial gifts support our mission to Rescue from Crisis, Relieve Suffering, Rebuild Lives and Restore Hope.
3. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all the ways you are a part of our family, giving us so many reasons to celebrate the best Good News of all - that Jesus is Our Rescuer, Our Emmanuel - God With Us. We have certainly felt His Presence in the midst of our Red Sea moments this year and we hope you and your family feel His Love in fresh, miraculous ways of your own.
