We can't wait to welcome you to campus next Thursday (January 15) for Spring Welcome Week. This email highlights the most important information you need to know ahead of your arrival to campus, including the full Welcome Week schedule.

Questions? Don't hesitate to reach out to us at orientation@rochester.edu. We'll see you soon!

Make sure you complete these before you arrive.

Here's a quick list of the items you need to complete as you make your final preparations for arrival day:

❏ Finish your online orientation program. Make sure you've completed all four components by Wednesday, January 14:
  1. Complete the new student checklist.
  2. Watch all required resource videos and complete the corresponding modules.
  3. Register for your spring classes.
  4. Follow us on Instagram or learn more about your Orientation Leaders to get to know your fellow Yellowjackets ahead of your arrival.
❏ Make sure you're packed and ready to travel. If you're living on campus, be sure to review the packing lists and approved/prohibited items lists (provided by Residential Life) on the arrival preparation and travel pages. Also, don't forget your winter gear! January in Rochester can be very cold and snowy, so make sure to bring a warm coat, scarf, gloves, and winter footwear.

On Thursday, January 15, there are few required steps you'll need to follow to officially check in:

1. Move into your on-campus housing (residential students only).
Between 12 and 8 p.m., head directly to your residential area office to complete your Residential Life check-in and pick up your room key and campus ID card before heading to your residence hall to move into your room.

2. Check in for Welcome Week (required for all students).
Between 4 and 9 p.m., stop by the Campus Information Center (located on the second floor of Wilson Commons) to pick up your official welcome bag and check in for Welcome Week. If you're living off-campus, we'll also have your campus ID card available to pick up.

After checking in for Welcome Week, we encourage you (and any family members that traveled with you) to enjoy all-you-can-eat dinner in Douglass Dining Center. You and your guests can pick up meal vouchers from the orientation team at Welcome Week check-in.

Commuter students: If you plan to attend the optional Arrival Day Game Night on Thursday evening, please plan to arrive to check-in no earlier than 8 p.m. so you can consolidate your trips to campus. If you are not attending the event, please feel free to check in for Welcome Week on Friday morning between 8:15-9 a.m. instead.
