If your inbox looks like a clearance aisle right now—
last-minute sales, “FINAL HOURS,” “don’t miss this,” “just circling back”…

…and you opened your email after the holidays to 348 unread messages and felt your brain short-circuit a little

you’re not behind.
you’re overstimulated.

It’s that weird in-between week where your body is still in holiday mode,
your brain is already racing toward 2026,

and your business is whisper-shouting
“we should really get our shit together.”

Meanwhile, you’ve got:
  • 20,000 ideas you want to act on before the year ends
  • half-finished plans
  • open tabs (literal and mental)
  • and zero desire to jump into full “go mode” yet
So here’s what I want you to do today and nothing more…

👉 Pause the panic.

You do not need to:
  • clean up your entire inbox
  • map out all of 2026
  • make big decisions from an overwhelmed headspace
Instead, try this:
Close one tab.
Just one.
Not forever. Not perfectly.
One thing you can mentally set down until January.
That’s it.

Because clarity doesn’t come from forcing momentum.
It comes from creating a little quiet first.
2026 isn’t asking you to sprint into it exhausted.
It’ll still be there in a few days, I promise.
Take a breath.

Before you do anything else for your business this week:

Write down one thing you’re actively worried about finishing before the year ends.

Now, next to it, write: “This can wait.”

You’re not quitting on it.
You’re choosing when it gets your energy.

That one decision alone frees up more mental space than another planning session ever will.

If you want to go one step further (optional, not required):
ask yourself, “Who would I be if this didn’t live rent-free in my head for the next few days?”

That version of you?
That’s the energy we’re taking into 2026.

Close a tab.
Protect your bandwidth.
Work less, on purpose. 💗

Not everything needs to be wrapped up neatly before December 31st.
Loose ends don’t mean loose standards.
