We have officially passed the two-year mark! It has now been two full years since we acquired the Gestic domain name on December 4th, 2023, and we haven't stopped since.

​Looking back, the evolution has been incredible. We started this journey as a small, closed beta limited to just 50 users. Today, the contrast couldn't be starker: since January 2024 alone, we have welcomed over 300,000 unique visitors to the platform!

​Behind the scenes, the project has grown from a solo adventure into a team effort. Over the last two years, five people have contributed to building different aspects of the site, and we now have a dedicated full-time employee ensuring the platform continues to evolve every day.

​While we still have a lot of features we want to build, these milestones are proof that Gestic is here to stay. Thank you for making 2025 such an incredible year for us. We are already looking forward to a promising 2026, and we wish you a year full of joy and success!

Why: We are flipping the switch on our new 2.5Gbps network infrastructure.

Impact: While the maintenance window is open for 4 hours, we are aiming for a maximum of 15 minutes of actual downtime. Thank you for your patience as we speed things up!

Nothing: This month, we shifted our focus from adding new features to strengthening the core experience. While there are no new buttons to click, we haven’t slowed down. Instead, we dedicated our resources to optimization and stability. Here is a look at the invisible, yet essential, improvements we’ve deployed...

Bug fixes: We are thrilled to report that we have fixed every known bug on our radar. We’ve cleared the list completely! We want to keep this streak going, so if you spot anything we might have missed, please let us know immediately.

Automated tests: We’ve deployed a new automated testing system that runs multiple times a day across both our test and production environments. This acts as an "early warning system," allowing us to detect and fix broken features before they ever impact your workflow. It is a massive step forward in our commitment to keeping Gestic’s quality bar exceptionally high.

We are preparing to deploy a major infrastructure upgrade. We are replacing the legacy 100 Mbps network with a blazing-fast 2.5 Gbps system. That is a 25x increase in bandwidth! This upgrade will drastically reduce latency and ensure data moves near-instantly across our services.

The recent Cloudflare outage, which took down many Magic: The Gathering fan sites for half a day, was a wake-up call. While Gestic uses a different provider and was not affected, we know we aren't immune to internet-wide issues.

To mitigate future risks, we have adopted a multi-cloud strategy:
