Dear First name / friend,

Welcome to Day 4 of the January No-Shopping Reset.

Here’s the reality:
Most impulse buys don’t start on a retailer’s website anymore.

They start while we’re scrolling.

Instagram. Facebook. TikTok. A “try-on.” A reel. A link in bio. Something looks easy, flattering, or like a quick fix — and suddenly we’re shopping without ever intending to.

I’m doing this one right along with you, because this is where a lot of unnecessary spending sneaks in.

Today’s action:
👉🏼 No shopping from social media today.
That means no clicking links, no “saving for later,” and no impulse taps.

If you see something you want while scrolling, do nothing.
Don’t click. Don’t save. Just notice how often it happens.

If you’re keeping notes, jot down:

What caught your attention
Where you saw it

That’s it.

This isn’t about avoiding social media — it’s about stopping the automatic jump from scrolling to buying.

Once you see how often this happens, it’s much easier to take back control.

Talk tomorrow,
Beth
