Dear First name / friend,
Welcome to Week 2 of the January No-Shopping Reset.
Last week was about noticing habits.
This week is about slowing down our buying decisions — especially the ones that feel urgent for no real reason.
Sales are one of the biggest culprits.
They create a sense of pressure that sounds like:
Buy it now.
You’ll miss out.
You’re saving money.
But here’s the truth: most sale items aren’t solving a real problem — they’re just cheaper versions of things we weren’t planning to buy.
I’m doing this one right along with you.
Today’s action:
👉🏼 When something on sale catches your eye, ask yourself one question:
“Would I still want this if it weren’t on sale?”
If the answer is no, the discount is doing all the work — not your judgment.
That doesn’t make it a good buy. It just makes it tempting.
This question slows things down long enough for you to decide based on need, not price.
Talk tomorrow,
Beth
