If you’ve looked around your sewing room lately and wondered, How on earth did it get this way?, you’re in good company. Creative minds generate creative messes—especially when quilting projects, our fabric stash, scraps, and notions all seem to multiply when no one is looking.

 

January is the perfect month to reset our sewing space. Not because it’s trendy or because everyone else is doing it, but because clearing the decks now gives us room—physically and creatively—for all the wonderful things we want to make this year …

 

In the last newsletter, I asked for your help in planning for 2026. So many of you did that by filling out a survey. To everyone who took a couple of minutes to do that - Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your insights make a difference and help me decide what to write about and what products to offer, here and on my website.

I'm excited for the creative possibilities the new year holds. I hope that together, we'll learn some new techniques, start (and finish) a few projects, and make a few new stitchers by sharing what we love to do with someone who wants to learn.
