Deacons' assistant commissioning 
Deacons' assistants support the ministry of the deacons through compassionate service to those in need, helping extend diaconal care both within the church and beyond it. This non-ordained ministry is made up of men and women with a heart for mercy and service. This past Sunday, we commissioned Mackenzie Black and Kate Richard to this work. Please pray for them as they join the deacons' assistants and deacons in serving and caring for those both inside and outside our church.

Join us this week to pray
  1. Praise for the good news of pregnancy for Leah and Ben Armstrong. Pray for a healthy and complication-free pregnancy for Leah and the baby.
  2. Praise that Anne Ruffin has been able to come home from the hospital. Pray for Carolyn and Will, and big sister Adaline as they all adjust to being a family of 4. If you'd like to bring them a meal, you can sign up here.
  3. Pray for healing for Nannie Gardner, as she is in the hospital with a kidney infection.
  4. Pray for our missionary O-Chan Odate, our missionary in Japan. Pray for his encouragement and endurance in his ministry.
  5. Pray that we would equip others with the truth of Christ.
  6. Pray for those who experience depression, anxiety, or other mental health challenges. Pray for skilled doctors and therapists and compassionate family and friends to come alongside those experiencing these challenges, and that their hope will be built up in the goodness of God for them.
