USING A RAIL PASS BETWEEN CITIES
How we moved between cities without booking every train in advance

This week we were moving between cities by train, so we used a rail pass instead of booking individual tickets.

We bought a global pass knowing we’d be on the move, even though we didn’t have every leg mapped out when we started. Once we had it, booking trains became less about price and more about timing. We picked the departures that fit the day instead of the cheapest option on a screen.

What stood out to us was how much simpler the travel days felt. We weren’t comparing fares each time we changed cities. We weren’t second-guessing whether to wait or book now. We just focused on getting from one place to the next.

It didn’t mean everything was effortless. Seat reservations still mattered on some routes, and we had to pay attention to which trains required them. But overall, the pass took one layer of decision-making off the table during a week that already had enough moving parts.

This week’s video covers one specific reason we were moving around the way we were. The rail pass was just the background tool that made all of that movement workable.
