The Monthly Reset
February often centers around love—romantic love, family love, connection with others. But after recent events unfolding in our country, I find myself wanting to widen that lens. Because what many of us are witnessing right now—in our country and in the world—is not normal.
Ongoing violence, being told something different than what our eyes can see, and watching rights being taken away places the nervous system on constant high alert.
When this stress goes on too long, the body does what it needs to survive. We may numb out, shut down, feel frozen, or begin to normalize what doesn’t feel right. This can show up as difficulty sleeping, racing thoughts, feeling disconnected, or unable to act.
If this resonates, please know—nothing is wrong with you. Your body is responding intelligently to overwhelm.
Instead of pushing through, I’d like to invite you to gently turn inward. To meet your body with curiosity and compassion. To practice self-love not as something to fix—but as an acceptance of where you are right now.
To support this, I’m offering a FREE one-hour somatic workshop.
In this class, I’ll share how ongoing stress impacts the nervous system and guide you through simple, grounding practices that help your body release what it’s holding—so you can feel a bit more safety and steadiness inside.
This is not about reliving anything or forcing release.
It’s about going at your pace and reconnecting with your body in a supportive space.
You’re welcome exactly as you are.
I’d love to have you join me!

If you can't attend February 4th—this is for you.
Your body reacts first when it feels threatened. This is a natural response, not weakness.
Somatic practices help release stress, regain agency, so you can come back to the present.

1. Orient to Reality: Notice 3 things you see, 2 things you hear, 1 thing you can touch. Say: I am here. I am safe enough right now.
2. Contained Activation: Press feet into the floor, palms together or on a wall, hold 5–10 sec, release slowly. Track the sensations you feel. Repeat 2–3 times.
3. Boundary & Containment: Self-hug or hands on heart/belly, breathe, and say: My body. My space. My choice.
Step away if needed. Regulation is self-care, not avoidance.
Share this with someone who needs it today. 🤍
