 An Elevated Start to 2026! |

   Hi First name / Friends,  January always brings a welcome sense of momentum, and 2026 is already off to a strong start here at Round Table Design. The studio is buzzing, projects are moving at a good pace from concept to construction, and we’re diving into a year that promises to be full, creative, and deeply satisfying.  This month’s Round-Up spotlights a project that was truly so fun for us: The Summit Revival. From the outset, this home invited a thoughtful mix of old and new—our favorite kind of challenge. The design process was rich with vintage finds, collected art, and beautifully tailored custom upholstery, each piece chosen for its character and ability to hold its own within the larger story of the house. These are the projects that energize us most: layered, warm spaces where timeworn elements and refined craftsmanship coexist effortlessly.  As we move deeper into the year, we’re excited about what’s ahead. Fresh ideas are flowing, and we’re looking forward to sharing more projects, process, and inspiration as they unfold. The bar quickly became one of our favorite moments in the house. What began as a second fireplace felt obtrusive once the show kitchen started taking place–so we reimagined it entirely. RTD sketched every detail, from the custom edge profile on the counter to the proportions of the floating shelves, and our contractors executed it beautifully. The result is a space that feels intentional and inviting—polished but never precious—finished with a vintage “LIQUOR” sign sourced from Round Top that adds just the right touch of kitsch and personality while grounding the home’s eclectic spirit in an elevated way. |

The Great Room was designed to enhance the sweeping panoramic views and the fluid nature of all the furnishings came together effortlessly. The antique rug was the very first piece we purchased, and it set the tone for the entire room with its rich palette and distinctive pattern, anchoring the home’s eclectic spirit with a subtle western nod that feels right at home in the Texas Hill Country. Although the project was a complete renovation, the space has a layered, collected quality that makes it feel as though it’s evolved over time—helped in large part by the fact that well over half of the furnishings are antique or vintage. One detail we especially love is the pair of custom pale green leather sofas, with beautiful stitching details tracing the frame—refined, soulful, and perfectly at ease in this room meant for gathering and taking in the view.  |

In the dining room: pendant lights, a solid wood table sourced from an old Italian monastery, hand-painted Italian ceiling panels repurposed as art, and antique Indian hanging bed chains–– were all discovered through our determined antiquing! The only new elements are the rug, the dining chairs, and the artwork above the fireplace by Texas-based artist Lindsey Meyer, grounding the space in a mix of history, craftsmanship, and lived-in elegance. |

The powder bath went from dark and dreary to bright and character-filled with layers of beautifully embellished grasscloth that bring warmth and texture to the space. A vintage chest, retrofitted as the sink vanity, adds instant soul and history, paired with an antique mirror. The result is a small but confident room that feels thoughtful, and full of personality. |
