First name / friend, now that we’re a few weeks into the new year, I’m starting to look at my goals with more, ahem, realistic eyes.
when we’re heavy into the new year energy it’s easy to stack a bunch of THINGS WE WANT onto our wish list and just assume that the path to get them will illuminate itself somewhere along the way.
cute idea, but…
it’s not ‘til we’re a few weeks in, back in routine, when we start to feel the familiar tug-of-war between day to day responsibilities and big picture vision.
it’s right around now that the “wait, but how?” starts to surface.
maybe you have a scaleable offer that you want to see double or triple in the months to come. [but how?]
maybe you have a product to launch and you’ve set revenue goals that make you sweat a little. [but how?]
maybe you’re manifesting a partnership with a specific brand. [but how?]
or an invitation to a specific podcast. [but how?]
or a speaker spot at a specific summit. [but how?]
or maybe your goals have nothing to do with more and everything to do with less — a client-free summer. dreamy travel plans. evenings and weekends offline.
but how? how? how? howwww?!!!
yesterday I had a Q1 planning sesh for my own work and that question came through for some of the goals I’ve set, too.
my main focus this year is growing my two core offers to support my income goals entirely, which means some significant increases in the number of folks I’m supporting in those spaces.
[but how?!]
during the meeting, I felt myself start panicking:
do I need to run paid ads? pull time out of my ass to pitch more PR opportunities? hire someone to run my pinterest? join some kind of networking mastermind thingie??? dedicate hours of my week to fucking around with trial reels?? develop some elaborate affiliate structure that makes me wanna pull my hair out? stretch myself too thin just to build a business that’s supposed to make me feel more free?
but when we took a step back (and a deep breath) I realized, wait, no.
none of those extras ↑ will be necessary if I just stay the course on the strategy that’s already working for me.
I recommitted to this strategy less than a month ago, and I’ve already seen:
→ a paid invitation to speak in someone’s program with a super aligned audience
→ a major brand (you’d know the name!!) reaching out to collaborate
→ 670 new instagram followers from content that directly connects to my offers
→ 380 new tiktok followers without having to force myself into a niche ;)
→ 211 new email subscribers (my strongest sales channel!)
which tells me I’m already doing exactly what I need to be doing to grow my business in the direction I desire — and I haven’t had to hop on any trendy growth hacks or hustle beyond my capacity to do it.
it’s the same strategy I’ve leaned on every single time I’ve wanted to see my business through a big evolution:
when I moved abroad but wanted to bring my local network with me.
when I shifted from done-for-you design agency to marketing expert + educator.
when I started leveraging lifestyle content to bring in more revenue opportunities.
it’s the same one I reach for when I’m launching a new offer, shifting into a new conversation, or looking to attract a specific type of community member to support my work — and my life!! — in some way.
life of the party isn’t just a program where you learn the foundation you need to build your dreams off the back of your social media, it’s where you
take full control of your success through your online presence, tailoring every single thing you share to the
exact desires you have for your business and beyond.
and that thing I said before about being stretched too-thin just to build something sustainable? FUCK. THAT. NOISE.
at
life of the party we
start with sustainability, creating a focused, strategic system that guides you RIGHTTTTT into your goals
without expending energy on anything that
doesn’t.
so the TLDR; on all this, if you’re sitting in the “but how” this week…
