Ramadan is just one month away 🌙, and the AFA staff is excited to welcome this blessed time with our students. This year, Ramadan Fest will be held during school hours at Fischer on February 21st, allowing all students to participate. Students will learn about welcoming Ramadan through engaging lessons, art, crafts, and activities.

Our popular Eid Toy Drive 🧸 will take place at the same time and location,. Families may drop off toy donations during student drop-off that day.

 

In observance of the last 10 days of Ramadan, the school will be on break March 7th and 14th, followed by Eid Break March 21st and then Spring Break March 28th and April 4th. Students will return to class on April 11, in sha’ Allah.

 

As part of our upcoming Ramadan Fest on February 21st, we are excited to announce a Ramadan-themed Art Gallery for our students.
Students are invited to create an art piece at home inspired by Ramadan and submit it to their Connections teacher. All submitted artwork will be displayed during Ramadan Fest. Students will compete within their group. Student participation is optional.

Teachers will vote on submissions. First-place winners from each group will receive a prize. 📌 Please write the student’s name and grade on the back of the artwork to ensure fair voting.

Submission Deadline: February 14

One of our most popular and exciting events of the year is almost here! The Quiz Bowl will begin on January 24. Study guides are now available on Alma. All students participate, and no registration is required.

🚸 Dismissal Reminders

Per district guidelines, all students and staff must vacate the building at dismissal. While students will remain supervised, any child whose parent arrives late will be required to wait outside, regardless of weather conditions.

 

🚗 Please continue to follow the directions of our Security Team during dismissal. Parents must enter the parking lot to pick up students and should not ask students to walk to nearby roads to meet them.
