Plugin Highlight: WP Sweep

WP-Sweep is a simple WordPress plugin that helps clean up unused, orphaned, and duplicated data in your website's database. It will optimize your database tables, which can improve performance and keep things running smoothly.

Why I love this plugin and install it on all the websites I create:
Over time, WordPress stores things like post revisions, trashed items, unused metadata and other “leftovers” you don't see, but your site still carries them. WP-Sweep makes it easy to tidy all of that up without touching code.

Important reminder: Before running any cleanup tool, always make sure you have a recent backup of your site.

👉 WP-Sweep is one of the tools I recommend when reviewing monthly website maintenance and yes, we cover this inside Website Foundations.
