Hello friends,

For many of our Southern friends, the winter storm this past week brought more than cold temperatures. Ice-laden branches, fallen limbs, and damaged shrubs have left yards looking unfamiliar and hearts feeling heavy. Many people are still without power and have a long cleanup in the weeks and months ahead. 

 

Tommy and I are praying for everyone who faced losses in the path of this storm.  We are here if you need anything. 

Today I'm walking you through your Tree & Shrub Triage-- what to prune and when, best practices for caring for storm-damaged trees and shrubs, when to remove frost cloths, and how to set your garden up for a healthy spring.

There are even more winter storms headed our way this weekend, so please stay weather aware, safe and warm!

PS- February will be quiet here as I work on exciting projects and upcoming plans for you!  We are taking a prescheduled break from The Bloom Report for a few weeks, but stay tuned… we have much excitement planned just in time for the Spring gardening season!

So many of y’all asked where to find the Walmart containers I shared during my Indoor Gardening Live class. Here are a few of my favorites! They may be out of stock online, but you should be able to find them in-store or order through Walmart pickup.
