Our scholars are ending the month of January #TitanStrong! Our juniors explored 5 Florida universities, our Mini Titanettes placed in several categories at the Florida Dance Challenge (FDC), our school was well represented in the All-Dade Athletes list, 9 of our art scholars were juried into an art exhibition at Pinecrest Gardens, and our alumni, Saira Malhotra, is part of Clemson University’s Honors College inaugural Action Scholars Program cohort.
At True North, our vision is to cultivate lifelong learners who are rich in virtue and who align their purpose in the pursuit of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. This means living a life that is rooted in purpose, appreciates beauty, filled with good and continued growth. Throughout this month, every one of our scholars exemplified this vision. We are incredibly proud of our Titans and cannot wait to see what the month of February brings.

Junior College Trip
This week, a group of 45 juniors traveled across our state to visit 5 Florida universities. During their 3 day trip, they visited the University of Central Florida (UCF), Florida State University (FSU), the University of Florida (UF), the University of South Florida (USF), and Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). The purpose of this trip was to expose our juniors to the different colleges that our state has to offer. Throughout their visits, they were able to get a real feel for what life at these institutions is like, ask questions, and, if available, meet with True North alumni to learn more about the college experience from someone who was previously in their position.
Our school is proud to have an elite college counseling team available for all of our scholars. Our College Counseling team guides and assists our scholars throughout their entire journey at True North. The goal of this process is to ensure that our scholars find a university that best suits their needs and that they receive the help and guidance needed to navigate one of the most important steps in their educational journey.
Because of these efforts, our scholars are admitted into some of the most prestigious colleges and universities across our nation. This year, for example, our scholars have already begun to receive acceptance letters. Some notable acceptances include: Harvard University, Cornell University, the University of Notre Dame, and Tulane University.

Alumni Spotlight: Saira Malhotra
Saira Malhotra, Class of 2025, is part of the inaugural Actions Scholars Program cohort at Clemson University's Honors College, which is designed to turn ideas into meaningful community impact.
The Actions Scholars Program will select 10 first and second year students each year to undergo a multi-year development program, where they will receive mentorship, professional development, and experiential learning. This will give students the necessary tools to develop a framework for a project that will have a meaningful, real-world impact while building lifelong skills such as mentorship, initiative, mindfulness, and service.
This is not Saira's first time making a long-lasting impact in her community. As a freshman at True North, Saira founded the Best Buddies Club to promote inclusion and compassion for people with special needs. Quickly, Best Buddies became one of the most popular clubs at True North. Currently, the club has a roster of 84 students; however, many scholars who are not part of the club but want to support the mission volunteer during events.
Congratulations, Saira! We cannot wait to see what you accomplish next.
