Back

After dedicating December to squashing glitches and polishing the platform , we kicked off 2026 by shifting gears back to what we love most: shipping new features!

This January, our focus was entirely on improving your workflow. We’ve added Text-to-Speech so you can scan without looking at the screen , integrated real-time pricing directly into the scan results , and launched a visual way to Add by Set. We hope these tools make managing your collection smoother than ever."

What's New and Improved?

Scan sticky settings: We have improved the "sticky" values on the scan page by making them more consistent. You now also have feedback on the scan page showing that certain settings are active. This is practical if you were working on a specific set, moved to a different one, and forgot you had sticky settings in place.
Scan text to speech: We have added a feature that we hope will be practical! In the scan options, you can now ask the scanner to read the detected card title out loud. This is very useful when using the auto-trigger; it allows you to focus on the cards and not look at the screen. When you hear a wrong title, you can pause, fix the result, and continue with the remaining cards without having to check the screen after every scan. The card name is read with the accent of the card's language (e.g., French cards are read with a French accent, Spanish with a Spanish accent, etc.).
Note: This option doesn't work on all browsers (tested on Firefox and Chrome).
Automated tests: We have added even more automated tests, this time focusing on toggling the finish for a card. We have also made the other tests more robust.
Scan price: When reviewing your scans, you now have the price displayed above the detected card, which will help you decide if you want to sleeve it or not.
Add by set: We have also introduced a new way to add cards to your collection! Take a look below at the Highlighted Feature of the Month.

Highlighted Feature of the Month: Add by set

We already have many ways to add cards to your collection: by name, by number, by importing an entire booster box or a list from another platform, by scanning, etc. Today we are presenting the Add by set feature.

Why? When adding old cards to your collection, the collector number might not be clearly visible—or printed at all—which can make it challenging. with the "Add by set" feature, you just need to sort your cards alphabetically, look at the pictures, and start adding them.
How to do it:

Select a list and a set. You will be presented with only the cards from that specific set. (You might have more cards in your list; they will not show, but they will not be impacted). If you already have cards from that specific set, you will see the inventory.

Example: Let's use a Lorwyn Eclipsed Booster Box. Select the specific list where you want those cards to be added, and the related set. The language setting is optional and can be changed at any time.

Visual Selection: After selecting a list and a set, you will visually see all the cards from that set—most likely ordered exactly the way you already ordered your physical cards.

Add Cards: Under each card, you will see how many you already have. If you don't have any, you will see a placeholder to easily add cards for that set with that language.

  • The red check allows you to remove all those cards.
  • The green + lets you add another line where you can have a different finish, condition, or language.
  • To add or remove cards, simply click on the up or down arrow.

With all the cards displayed on the screen, you can very easily see the ones you have and add them to your list without having to enter the name or the collector number. Just scroll, watch, and click.

As simple as this!
As always, We Need Your Input!

As always, We Need Your Input!
We are happy to announce that we have added one new local store to the platform, and we have at least one more coming next month! But we need your help to keep growing—please let us know which local shops you want to see on Gestic. You can see the list of on-boarded stores in your configuration page.

What’s Next?
For the next release we are hopping to bring big speed and throughput improvements for the scanner. But if you have ideas, don't hesitate! We will be happy to consider them!

Thanks for being an incredible part of Gestic's journey. Your support means the world to us,
