I hope this note meets you gently as your week is getting underway.
I wanted to share something I’ve been noticing for myself lately. How easy it is to keep going on autopilot, even when my body is asking for a pause.
I caught myself last week keeping my laptop open throughout the middle of the day. Checking websites, creating Google Docs, and brainstorming ideas. Not out of necessity, but out of a familiar pull to be doing, reaching out, producing something.
Doing, doing, doing.
And when I stopped for a bit, it was clear that what I actually needed wasn’t more output.
It was space.
Or maybe even…a lot more space.
I have a feeling I’m not the only one feeling that tension right now.
That craving for space, the kind that actually feels fulfilling, has been sitting with me. I think a lot about community, creativity, and how much it matters to have places where we can show up without needing to be impressive or productive. Places where we can slow down, connect, and remember ourselves a bit.
My Creative Wisdom continues to grow and evolve into what I need more of in my own life…and honestly, what I sense many people around me need too.
It’s why I started hosting gatherings over the past few months:
To bring people together in community.
If being with others in low-pressure, very human ways feels supportive right now, I’d love for you to join.
A few ways to gather this month:
☕ Women in Business Coffee Meetup
Friday, 2/6 | 9-10am
A casual morning to connect with other women building businesses. No agenda, no pitches. Just conversation, warmth, and shared space.
📓 Journaling Club at Dandelion Bookshop
Sunday, 2/8 | 4-5:30pm
A guided journaling experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and listen inward for a bit.
If you ever want to see what’s coming up next, I’m keeping everything on my
Events Page.
