Collective Governance updates: A four-person OTB steering core has rolled out phase one of a 2 year cooperative development plan, and will be debuting next steps to our Resident Artist community at our very first (quarterly) State of The Block Townhall & Lunar New Year Celebration 12-4pm February 15th.
Due to limited capacity, this is a RSVP only event prioritizing Resident Artist attendance, however we are holding space for participation from 1-5
Eleven:Eleven Founding Members ( who aren’t already Resident Artists) who are interested in helping grow our collective. We are especially seeking folx with experience and hard skills in 1) spreadsheeting/systems design w/ Google Workspace, and 2) merchandise operations/retail systems design and 3) promotions/marketing w/ SEO and SM optimization skills. We name this NOT to discourage others interested from reaching out. If you want to come, we want you there.

WRITER BENCH (WEEKLY TUESDAYS) Launching 2/10.
By Any Means Productions is collaborating with ELEVEN: ELEVEN to bring you Writer’s Bench Tuesdays, 6-9 PM .
Are you looking for a chill spot to create, enhance your graffiti knowledge, and exchange styles with other graffiti writers from throughout the city? Then this is the night for you! Bring your black book or favorite sketchbook, your art supplies and your friends to the weekly sessions. For three hours you can immerse yourself in hand styles, burners, slaps, markers, graffiti history and more!
If you are just starting out, come prepared to learn. If you are an O.G. on the scene, come through and drop some gems for the future generations of writers!
Second Thurday's 2/12 ART WALK 5-9: Come to the block for our Artwalk at two locations! Eleven : Eleven will be open and activated, and upstairs at Blue Cone Studios, we have a super special multimedia featuring 30+ artists entitled "Meat Suits: Exploring Relationship to the Body”. This is truly a tremendous exhibition, curated by Resident Artists Ali and Japera:
The show’s title references an exploration all humans have pondered: Aren’t we all just energy contained into these vessels we call “bodies”? These “Meat Suits” or “Avatars” we use to experience and interact with the material world? The show welcomes participants to continue the conversation, share the theory, philosophy and curiosity.
RACKS & RECORDS Every Wed & Thurs 7-11pm, launches 2/18. Racks & Records is a rotating creative micro-market & local music listening hub featuring legends of curated vintage, streetwear, upcycled fashion, art, and good vibes. The event series will be complemented by DJS, beatmakers, and weekly sonic curation by Isaak Estolas.
