March Newsletter
Hello March at Dixon Dance Studio! Spring energy is officially here, and the momentum in the studio is real. Dancers are stronger, more confident, and more focused than ever. Technique is sharpening, performance quality is leveling up, and you can truly feel the growth when you walk into a classroom.

We are fully in recital mode as we prepare for our Summer 2026 recital, Making the Band 🎸🎤. Choreography is underway, classes are balancing technique with recital dances, and this show is already shaping up to be high-energy, entertaining, and full of personality. We cannot wait to see it hit the stage.

Our Competition Team just attended our first major competition of the season — Spotlight in Sacramento — and we are so proud. Yes, they performed beautifully. But what meant the most? The number of comments we received about how much FUN our dancers were having on stage. That joy, confidence, and authenticity will always be the our biggest win.

And we’re not slowing down — over 40 of our dancers (plus teachers!) are headed to Santa Clara this month for the LA Dance Magic Dance Convention. It’s one of the biggest weekends of our year. Dancers train with professional choreographers, our team competes, and we make so many core memories together. It’s intense, inspiring, and so much fun — and we can’t wait to head back.

A few quick reminders:

We are so grateful to share this season with you.      Warmly - The DDS Team

✨ It’s time to turn it up, take the stage, and DANCE. ✨
We are beyond excited for this year’s Summer Recital: Making the Band — a high-energy celebration of music in all its forms. From rock and pop to hip hop, K-pop, and even epic classical influences, this show brings together every style, every era, and every kind of “band” that gets us moving. Think big sound, bold movement, and serious for-those-about-to-rock vibes.
Join us at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater as our dancers step into the spotlight and bring this music-driven journey to life. This annual tradition is more than a performance — it’s the moment where all the hard work, growth, and dedication from the season come together on one stage.
Performing is a vital part of a dancer’s training. It builds confidence, showcases progress, and teaches dancers how to rise to the occasion under pressure. There’s nothing quite like the rush of live music, bright lights, and the energy of a cheering audience. Every dancer walks away with unforgettable memories, new confidence, and a deep sense of accomplishment.
So turn the volume up, feel the beat, and get ready to watch our dancers rock the stage. This is their moment — and it’s going to be loud, powerful, and unforgettable. 🔥🎤
For those about to dance…we salute you. 🎶🖤
