We were away for a few days last week, as a longstanding tradition for Sam's winter birthday is to spend quiet time in the woods. Books, blankets, pupper snuggles, and gluten-free cake.
There isn't always loads of snow, but having an all-wheel-drive vehicle came in handy this year.
This was our first time checking out Prince Gallitzin State Park. The park office lends out snow shoes for free, which Sam was excited to try, but the temps never got above single digits, so her excitement was…chilled.
Next time perhaps! The park was really pretty, and we look forward to returning.
