What an amazing turnout of Al-Falah students at last Sunday's Qur'an Competition!  It was beautiful to see so many children showcasing their love of the Qur'an!  We are grateful to all the participants and deeply appreciative of the volunteers who made the event possible, especially our own Srs. Ayesha Anis, Soobia Ali, and Baily Azim. 

 

JazakAllahu Khair to all the parents who attended our Coffee & Chai Connect. The feedback received and ideas shared were insightful and invaluable.  Improvement comes from all angles, and we are grateful for your thoughtful perspectives.

 

Finally, we want to encourage all families to donate at least 1 toy for the Eid Toy Drive (see details below).  Please take time this week to purchase a gift with your child and teach them the importance of gift giving and sharing the joy of Eid with those less fortunate.  

 

🧸Eid Toy Drive

Our popular Eid Toy Drive will take place at Ramadan Fest during school hours. Families are invited to drop off wrapped donations when dropping off their students that day. Please label each gift with the recipient’s gender and age group.

Drop-off time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: Door 1 (Main Entrance)

🌙 Ramadan Fest

Ramadan is less than a week away and the AFA staff is excited to welcome this blessed time with our students. This year, Ramadan Fest will be held during school hours at Fischer on February 21st, allowing all students to participate. Students will learn about welcoming Ramadan through engaging lessons, art, crafts, and activities. Additional details are included in the flyer below.

 

All Art Gallery submissions are due by Saturday, February 14th. Artwork will be displayed during Ramadan Fest on February 21st. Parents will be able to view the artwork through an Instagram post that will be shared in our newsletter.

 

Artwork will be returned and prizes distributed on February 28th. Please ensure your student writes their name and section on the back of their piece.

After school this week, the ICN Girl Scouts will be hosting a bake sale outside Door 6. Bring your sweet tooth and some cash to support our very own Girl Scouts Troop. 🍪💛

 

🏆 Quiz Bowl

Congratulations to all the Quiz Bowl participants and those who placed last week! We are so proud of all the hard work students have done in preparing for this learning experience.  

4th and 7th graders will be competing this Saturday. 

Study guides are available on Alma. All students participate, and no registration is required.

 

Masha Allah to all of the students who participated in our Surah Club this year! We are proud of their dedication and hard work! Congratulations to all the students who worked hard to participate. Please see the flyer below for the names of all recognized participants.

Prizes were distributed last week and will continue to be given out this week. If your child participated, be sure to ask them about their experience and accomplishments.
