Thank you for hanging out with us on the newsletter- we're SO glad you're here <3
We're well into 2026, and things have been BUSTLING in the studio. It's been an eventful, exciting month of connecting and creating alongside our clients, with lotssss of studio happenings in the mix. We're going to share all the inside info with you below.
Hello, Durham!
We've been fortunate to have a wonderful, years-long partnership with Chapel Hill Magazine, whom we love deeply for their dedication to our community and support of local businesses. From the “Best of Chapel Hill' award to sponsoring the Women of Achievement Event and many gorgeous features of our work (and beyond), they have supported our team and our work in so many meaningful ways over the years. As of 2026, we are thrilled to be featured in their sister publication, Durham Magazine! We have always worked with clients in Durham, and we have so much love for the amazing city, culture, and people. We also have team members who have happily made their homes in the Bull City. Durham Magazine is a phenomenal publication that really speaks to the heart and soul of the area, and we are so excited to be included. Our “Faces” profile (left) is featured in the 2026 Relocation Guide issue, and this snap of Cat in the Musician's Hideaway (right) is in the current February/March issue. You can view the latest issue of Durham Mag here!
Earlier this month, Cat was interviewed by Andrea Lillo, editor at Designers Today Magazine, for their feature “Profiles in Design”. Cat talks about her graduate work in Interior Architecture, how she became an interior designer, and the backstory of how she became a leader in the field by seamlessly integrating construction and renovation with beautiful, elevated interiors. You can watch the full video above- and stay until the end for one of our favorite Cat moments ever, when she shares who she'd secretly love to design a home for (it might surprise you! ;)
Women of Design Event at the CFD Studio
As we're celebrating a decade in business this year, one of our goals for this year was to give back, both to our local community and also to our design community. The Women of Design (WOD) group is a collective of interior designers/entrepreneurs from across North Carolina, who come together to learn, share experiences, and foster connection and collaboration in our field. We recently hosted the group for an event in our studio, featuring a panel focused on the operations side of running a design business. Cat and our Operations Manager, Krista, answered questions and did a deep dive into what makes a healthy, sustainable, successful design business. It was a memorable day, and you can find all the details below!
