I feel like I mention this every time we have a short week, but does that through off your sense of time as much as it does for me? The funny part is now that I'm an empty nester and I work for myself, my weekdays/weekends sort of blur together. I'll often choose to work through a weekend so that my days off are during the week, when places are less crowded. So the fact that Monday was a federal holiday shouldn't have mattered, but the whole week I've been completely off on what day it actually is. I guess I need structure more than I thought I did! Glad to be back on a normal schedule next week, although I'm sure my body clock well need help in a couple of weeks when Daylight Savings time kicks in. It's worth the mental confusion to have longer days though, right? Right?
Speaking of taking advantage of my flexible schedule, my husband and I decided to go to the San Antonio Rodeo during the day next Tuesday. We won't see any of the headliners, but there also won't be any crowds and we can take our time wandering the Rodeo grounds. Now all I have to do is figure out which pair of cowboy boots to wear!
I was profoundly shocked that this video, which I really only make for my existing viewers, did as well as it did (based on views). What I mean by that is that this type of content usually doesn't draw new people in, it's for those that are already familiar with my videos, I don't know if it was the titling or if people were just curious, but I love that so many of you wanted to know what the best sellers of the month were. I have some great updates in there too, so please have a watch if you haven't already!
I know I do a Quince haul every month, but this month's video is the one I'm most proud of creating. I had so much fun planning, creating and executing these looks, and I'm super pleased with all of the new pieces. I also had a ball filming it with my husband, who always knows how to make me laugh!
This picture highlights a big step for our big dude. For some reason, out of nowhere, Rowdy decided he was afraid of our bed and didn't want to get in it. He was perfectly capable of jumping up (he jumped OVER the couch during this time period) but he wouldn't get on the bed. Two days later, he was back to normal. He's such a goof ball!

MAGIC UNCORKED

Usually I share a book I'm loving, but this week I'm sharing a series that has turned out to be disappointing. The main characters in this series are just so unrelatable and unbelievable, that I just couldn't get past it. The first book wasn't bad, but by the second I was skimming just to get to the end. Then I decided to try and finish the series with the 3rd book and I just couldn't. Hopefully I'll have something for you next week!
Of course this had to be my favorite outfit of the past week! I wore this to our Valentine's dinner date last Saturday. I have this dress in 3 or 4 colors now. If you need a dress that's warm enough for cooler weather but isn't too stuffy for date night, this is the one! It has a nice slit on the other side and a v-neck to give it a little something something. The heels matched perfectly but unfortunately they're not available. I think I got them about 10 years ago and I'm so glad I still have them! Michael tried to match me-if you zoom in on his shirt there are little red/pink lines in there. Here's to 30+ years of celebrating Valentine's together!
Make sure to stop by my YouTube channel on Sunday morning to catch my first video of the week. We'll be taking a look at my latest finds from Amazon-I think you'll love my picks!
