Ramadan Fest - Important Details 🌙
Ramadan Mubarak! We are welcoming this blessed month with a school-wide experience this Saturday, February 21st. This year will be our fifth annual Ramadan Fest, and we have modified it to ensure that all Al-Falah students can participate. Parents will be dropping off and picking up their students as usual and each student will engage in different events during their Connections class period. This way, parents won’t have to bring their child in for an extra day. Ramadan Fest will occur during school hours for AFA students only.
Parents can participate by:
1. Asking their child about the event after school. 😊
2. Viewing all the fun and celebrations via our social media posts. 📱
3. Utilizing the craft that all Al-Falah students will bring home (in a stapled bag).
4. Many parents have already contributed to Ramadan Fest by helping their child create an art project for our First Ramadan Fest Art Contest! We had 100 entries! 🎉 Students who participated will bring home a treat. Trophies will be awarded on 2/28 to the winners of the contest and all projects will be sent home on 2/28 as well. 🏆
Ramadan Fest is not only a celebration, but also a school-wide service project. 🤲 The entire school will be donating toys for Eid for refugee children in the community. We are asking each Al-Falah family to:
- Purchase 1 new toy this week with your child for the purpose of donating that toy. Please refer to the flyer below for toy suggestions. 🧸
- Toys can be wrapped, placed in a gift bag, or remain unwrapped. 🎁
- Kindly label the toy with the age level and gender it is intended for.
- Drop it off between 10 AM - 12 PM this Saturday at the main lobby door #1 at Fischer Middle School.
- Help us spread the word by asking family, friends, and neighbors to donate a toy as well.
- In addition, cash donations for toys can be Zelled to finance@icnschool.com.
