Where Strong
Outcomes Begin
At KLL, we believe strong teams build strong outcomes.

Each month, we make time to connect outside of the courtroom. Trust, communication, and collaboration don’t just happen in case strategy meetings. They’re built over time, through shared experiences.

In honor of Fat Tuesday, our team took a chocolate-making class—trading briefs for something a little more creative (and a little competitive). It gave us a chance to step away, reconnect, and build time together.

The way we show up for each other is the same way we show up for our clients.

Thoughtful. United. Invested.

Summer Possession Deadlines
 Are Approaching
As spring approaches, many Texas family court orders require parents to make their summer possession designations. If your order includes this provision, the deadlines are often
  • April 1 – Deadline for the primary (custodial) parent to designate their summer possession period.
  • April 15 – Deadline for the non-primary parent to designate their summer possession period if the primary parent does not designate by April 1.

These deadlines are common in orders that follow the Expanded Standard Possession Schedule, but every court order is different.
Your order will specify:
  • The exact deadline for summer designations
  • How notice must be given (email, text, written notice, etc.)
  • The number of days or weeks you may designate

Missing your designation deadline can limit your summer possession options, so we recommend reviewing your court order now and calendaring the appropriate date.

If you have questions about your summer possession rights or need help reviewing your order, our team at Katie L. Lewis, P.C. Family Law is always here to help.
