Many of our programs this year are centered around the theme America250 and Arizona America250. The Arizona America250 Grant seeks to commemorate our nation's 250th anniversary by informing participants of Arizona's history and myriad of voices that illustrate its untamed spirit of independence.

TRAVELING MUSEUM TODAY! Monday, March 2nd.

Casa Grande residents are invited to experience history on wheels when the Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum rolls into town on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The mobile museum will be parked in front of the Dorothy Powell Senior Center (405 E. 6th Street) and is free and open to the public. StoryWalk Casa Grande is a series of park signs with pages of a children's book displayed along a path in Peart Park, located next to the Downtown Main Library. It's an initiative to promote literacy, physical activity, and outdoor time. Our March and April StoryWalk is "Run Wild" by David Covell.

Join Mr. David at the Museum of Casa Grande March 4th, for a fun storytime program just for kids. Program is intended for children ages 0-5, but all are welcome. Museum address: 110 W. Florence Blvd. Learn about the museum and hear stories with a museum theme!

Unearth a Story with our Dinosaur Art Contest! Register at either library location and pick up your canvas starting February 17th,  while supplies last. Create a dinosaur-themed masterpiece and return it by April 1st. Winners will be selected through online voting by age category during our Día de los Niños celebration on Saturday, April 25. Youth in grades K-12 are welcome to dig into creativity! Sponsored by the Community Services Department of the City of Casa Grande.

"You've Got a Friend in Me" this month during our Saturday Movies and Coloring Activity! Join us on March 7th at 2:00 p.m. to watch the first in this classic series. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult. Light snacks and drinks with screw top lids are allowed. Casa Grande Main Library, 449 N. Drylake St.

Join us on March 13th from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Casa Grande Main Library, 449 N. Drylake St. as former Arizona Highways publisher, Win Holden, shares the inside story of how the extraordinary publication Arizona Highways Magazine, has not only survived but thrived by attracting elite landscape photographers and using an unconventional publishing business model incorporating licensing, retailing and ancillary products. The presentation features dozens of historical and contemporary photographs telling the compelling story of a magazine that delivers over $65 million in annual economic impact to the state by captivating subscribers in all 50 states and 100 countries.

Teens, ages 13-18, join us for this interactive, one-hour class that helps teens build practical money skills. Students will learn how to plan and pay for college, including an overview of FAFSA and financial aid basics. We’ll break down budgeting in a clear, realistic way.
March 11th at 1:00 p.m.
March 16th at 3:30 p.m.  
Also being offered is a two-day workshop on March 17th and 18th (must attend both days) from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Registration is required for the workshop. Click the link below.

Doing a little spring cleaning? The Friends of the Casa Grande Public Library are looking for donations! You can drop off your smaller donations to either library,
The Main Library at 449 N. Drylake Street or
The Vista Grande Library at 1556 N. Arizola Rd anytime during regular business hours. For larger donations please call ahead, 520-421-8710, to make arrangements. 

Volunteers needed.
Volunteers needed! The Central Lutheran Church Adult Community Education (ACE) Team offers general education tutoring and English as a second language (ESL) coaching. Volunteers work one-on-one or with small groups once or twice a week to help participants achieve personal development goals. If you would like to serve on the ACE Team, complete the VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM available here:
