Mark Your Calendars! DAHLIA TUBER SALE |
Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 11:11 AM CT 9:11AM PT / 10:11AM MT / 12:11PM ET |
First name / OK, who's in for a Sunday Funday next weekend?! Chill your glass (or warm your mug) and let's do this. |
I honestly cannot believe almost an entire year has gone by since our last dahlia tuber party, absolutely wild. Getting to share a piece of our garden has become one of my favorite times of year. Literally, I have the champagne chilling! Why 11:11AM? When I was a kid, whenever 11:11 was on the clock, my mom would say, “11:11, make a wish." It's something Matt and I both say to this day (love you, mom🥰). So, I thought we'd launch at 11:11 in hopes that you get everything on your wishlist. And um March 8? 3/8? 3+8 = 11?!?! Don't worry, I'm not becoming a numerologist lol. ANYWAY: The site shows some of what will be available, but not everything! I went ahead and removed all the varieties I'm certain we will not be offering. The ones that are there will most likely be in the sale, and there will definitely be new ones . . . some we've never ever offered ever before! |
I’ll be adding more varieties between now and the sale, and I’ll send an email once everything is finalized (so you have time to make your wishlist). If you plan on joining us, thank you (truly) with all my heart, for planting more goodness back into the world with us. I might be biased, but dahlias are just so much fun. And romantic. And a little addicting. And occasionally nerve wracking. May I humbly suggest marking your calendars and setting an alarm? I’ll absolutely send a reminder, and I have a few fun things up my sleeve, but alarms are kind of a must when it comes to dahlia tubers. At least in my house. Tell me I’m not alone😬? I have so many that even when my morning alarm goes off, Matt says, “Dahlia tuber sale?” 🤫🙃😬 Below is actual footage of me, which he has witnessed more times than I care to admit. P.S. I share this every year, so if you’ve been around for a while, I hope it’s our little thing and we can both laugh (like watching A Christmas Story every year). It’s still 100% me, and maybe you too, even though I’ve tried to grow as a person 🙃😆 And if you’re new, welcome to this weird, rambling corner of the internet. ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF ME DURING DAHLIA SALES Step 1: Me making my wishlist. |
Step 2: Me calculating how much growing space we need based on how many dahlias are on my wishlist. |
Step 3: Me responsibly narrowing down my wishlist. |
Step 4: Me the day of a dahlia sale. |
Step 5: Me 15 minutes before the dahlia sale with all of my checkout pages loaded perfectly and precisely in order, logged into all accounts, payments pre-loaded to fill in with a fingerprint. I mean, should you just pour me a champagne right now? |
Step 6: Me hitting refresh approximately 2374028374238 times the millisecond the site is supposed to go live but is not loaded. |
Step 7: Me when the site goes live a half second later. |
Step 8a: Me when I check out successfully with the most-coveted variety. |
Step 8b: Me when I do not. |
At which point, I rant about rural internet and that I am suspicious that there was only 1 tuber in inventory . . . for the remainder of the day 🙃 Anyway, all that to say that I totally get that dahlia tuber sales can be crazy. There might be something wrong with me, but I sorta kinda think that's what makes it fun. But I know not everyone feels that way (and there is most-probably something wrong with me). But hey, that's just me, as a buyer. However, as a dahlia tuber seller, I want anyone who chooses to get tubers from us to have a wonderful experience. No, the best experience! We will never offer a variety if we only have one tuber available. Every year, we hold back numerous varieties to build stock, but we also want to give folks a chance at snagging some of those rare ones. We're still a small operation and only two people (although digging up thousands of plants in fall doesn't feel small😅). If we have a limited or rare variety, we may set limits on the amount one can purchase to give more people a chance. Please respect the limits or we will have to cancel/refund. A few other logistical things: Prior to the sale, please be sure to read our Dahlia Tuber Sale Information, Terms & Conditions. I try to make it not so boring, but it does contain really important information, and by purchasing, you agree to those terms. When we became a licensed seller of KA® dahlias, Kristine gave us kudos on our T&C, and that meant so much coming from someone I admire. And finally, something not boring. Giveaway! As we do every year, we have a few exciting giveaways planned. One will be on Instagram. If you decide to participate, you'll get FIFTY extra entries when you enter because you are already a subscriber. Keep an eye out for it, but I'll send you a reminder too. Stay tuned for details on the other one :) OK, that's it! I LOVE DAHLIAS and is it weird to say, I love you too? OK, all the love. And as I've said before every dahlia sale and giveaway, ours or otherwise: May the odds forever be in your favor. |
