We are beyond excited for this year’s Summer Recital: Making the Band — a high-energy celebration of music in all its forms. From rock and pop to hip hop, K-pop, and epic classical influences, this show brings together every style and era that gets us moving. Think big sound, bold movement, and pure stage magic.
Performing is a vital part of a dancer’s journey. It builds confidence, showcases growth, and creates unforgettable memories. Every dancer walks away with new skills, new confidence, and the thrill of the spotlight.

We are thrilled to dance in the Dixon May Fair Parade again this year! We hope you will join us for what we know will be an exciting theme: TRADITION.
This year’s theme reflects both the long-standing tradition of the Dixon May Fair and the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial)—a really special moment to be part of!
All dancers in a JAZZ, MUSICAL THEATER, and/or HIP HOP class (ages 7 and up) are invited to participate as dancers in this year's parade!
All of our younger dancers ages 3–6 are welcome to walk with us on the parade route.
Practice for dancers will begin on Tuesday, April 7th. (Walkers do not need to attend parade practice.) Dancers must attend 4 of the available practices, including the mandatory rehearsal on Saturday, May 2nd. We will also send out an instructional video so dancers can practice at home.

All dancers must have the most current DDS tank top and plain black boot cut (full-length) leggings(no logos, patterns, or designs) in order to participate. DDS tank tops will be available to order. Tanks are $35 for child size and $40 for adult.
Walkers are welcome to wear any Dixon Dance Studio clothing and/or dress in the May Fair Parade theme: Tradition / Americana.
Deadline to sign up and purchase a tank top is Monday, April 6th.
Join us for a Pop Star Hero Academy dance camp at Dixon Dance Studio, inspired by the action-packed world of the K-Pop Demon Hunters movie!
Date and Time: Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 Monday through Thursday: 9:00am – 12:00pm Performance and Camp Wrap Up on Friday at 11:45am
Ages: 7–10
Price: $250/week or $60/day
Step into the spotlight and train like a hero while dancing like a pop star! During this high-energy week, dancers will learn exciting K-pop inspired choreography, build confidence on stage, and complete fun “hero training” challenges with their team. Each day will include dance classes, creative crafts, games, and pop star activities that bring the theme to life.
Throughout the week, dancers will design their own pop star hero identity, work together on powerful choreography, and prepare for their ultimate Pop Star Hero Performance for families at the end of the week. Get ready for a week full of music, movement, creativity, and superstar energy! ⭐🎤✨
Join us for a Wild City Adventure dance camp at Dixon Dance Studio, inspired by the fun and imaginative world of the Zootopia movies!
Date and Time: Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 Monday through Thursday: 9:00am – 12:00pm Performance and Camp Wrap Up on Friday at 11:45am

Get ready for a wildly fun adventure where dancers explore a bustling animal city full of imagination, movement, and creativity! During this exciting week, dancers will leap, hop, and groove their way through animal-inspired dance classes, playful games, and themed crafts.
Young explorers will go on daily adventures—meeting animal characters, solving fun city challenges, and creating their own wild dance moves. Along the way they’ll collect fun memories and prepare for their Wild City Dance Party Performance at the end of the week for family and friends.

We’re excited to bring something new and special this summer! Dixon Dance Studio is launching an Intermediate & Advanced Summer Intensive during the first week of August.
This intensive is designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate dancers, giving them a focused, high-energy experience to grow their technique, artistry, and performance skills. More details and information will be coming soon — we can’t wait to share this exciting new opportunity with you!
