We can’t wait to welcome you to Trinity Flyfest — a free, family-friendly celebration along the Trinity River. Join us Saturday, March 14 for fishing, the Big Trout Contest, live music, local vendors, a Kid Zone full of hands-on activities, and plenty of space to gather, explore, and enjoy the day by the water.

You can also walk or ride your bike along the Trinity Trails. Bike parking will be available - don't forget your bike lock!

 

Bring blankets and chairs to settle in and enjoy the day! No coolers, please. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The Kid Zone at Flyfest is packed with fun, including face painting, a fishing tank for beginner anglers, a climbing wall for adventurous kids, and the interactive Watershed Experiential Trailer where families can learn how the Trinity River flows through and connects our community.

 

Bring the kids, invite their friends, and spend the day learning, playing, and exploring along the river.

One of the highlights of Trinity Flyfest is the chance to experience incredible local chefs bringing bold flavors to the river. From Vietnamese street-inspired wraps to a classic Louisiana crawfish boil and Caribbean-infused coastal dishes, each demo is a live, up-close tasting experience that celebrates culture, fresh ingredients, and the joy of gathering around food.

Watch anglers compete to catch the biggest trout or the most fish within the allotted time for a chance to win great prizes. The competition takes place on the water throughout the day, so be sure to stroll the riverbanks and cheer them on.

 

Hear from top anglers and fly fishing experts throughout the day as they share insights on techniques, Texas waters, conservation, and targeting everything from Hill Country bass to coastal redfish.
