The Highlight
Guiding Nonprofit Mergers to Support Long-Term Success

Across the nonprofit sector, many organizations are exploring mergers as a way to enhance impact and sustainability. As part of our services, Mission Matters collaborates with nonprofit leaders to thoughtfully guide conversations that are necessary when organizations consider joining forces.

These conversations go well beyond financial analysis; they rely on trust, transparency, and strong relationships with key stakeholders, and we often assess a “readiness factor” to determine if organizations are prepared to explore a merger productively. Our role is to facilitate structured conversations that uncover shared goals, concerns, and future possibilities. Since every organization and community is unique, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. With the right facilitation and engagement, these conversations can empower organizations to make informed decisions about their future path.

In our next Mission Matters newsletter we'll share the story of a newly merged entity uniting three organizations - their new name will be revealed soon!
