Hi everyone,
Winter in Seattle might be gray, but there’s still plenty happening around the city—and the housing market is starting to wake up again too. Here are a few things happening this week around town.
🌧️ Winter Things to Do This Weekend
If you're looking for something fun to do with family or friends:
• Visit the Seattle Boat Show at Lumen Field Event Center (great if you love boating or just want to dream about summer on the water).
Seattle Boat Show runs from January 30 – February 7, 2026 and features hundreds of boats, exhibitors, and boating seminars.

• Take a winter walk through Discovery Park — the views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains are beautiful this time of year.
Discovery Park is Seattle’s largest park, spanning 534 acres with miles of trails and waterfront views.

🏡 Seattle Housing Market Update
The spring market is starting to quietly build momentum. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed:
• More homes starting to hit the market
• Buyers slowly returning after the holidays
• Some well-priced homes receiving multiple offers again
Seasonal housing trends typically show increased activity starting in February as the spring market approaches.
If you’re thinking about buying this year, now is a great time to start preparing before the spring competition ramps up.
And if you’re a homeowner curious about your home’s value in today’s market, I’m always happy to take a look and share a quick estimate.
💡 Local Tip
If you’re planning any home updates this year, February is actually a great time to start planning projects like kitchen refreshes, landscaping, or paint before contractor schedules fill up in spring. Many homeowners plan renovations during the winter so projects can begin once the weather improves.
Thinking about buying, selling, or investing this year?

Warmly,
Emily
