Happy Friday Y'all!

Another week and another new episode of The Pitt and I am WORRIED about Dr. Robby. Last week more than 60% of you agreed with me that our favorite head of the ER is messy but now I'm about ready to throw myself into the TV to stop him from going on that roadtrip. LOL What can I say, when I get invested in a character, I get invested.
This week's poll is about a foodie atrocity that I had to share because I'm both curious and horrified by it. I can't wait to see the results.
It's new hair day for me. I'm getting the chop and color. A brown bob is tempting me and I'm heeding the call. Fingers crossed because this is my first time with a new hairstylist in years. Send all the good hair vibes. If not, well it grows fast.
I'm on deadline until the end of the month finishing up my sexy soapy romance that I am hoping to be able to tell you all about soon. The vague publishing news is being annoyingly vague I know. Also in the works is Berkley considering the next Sherwood Witches books. Let's all cross our fingers and toes that they love the next installment as much as I do. Y'all, a world weary vampire and a pinkalicious Sherwood sister? YES PLEASE! Speaking of our favorite redheaded witches, Hexy Beast is now up for preorder. I've got a link down below that you can use. Yay!!!

This Week's Top 5:
  1. Reading Elizabeth Stephens' Even Superheroes Need Photo Ops
  2. Old Bay Peeps With Poll
  3. Hexy Beast Cover Sketch On Patreon
  4. Feeding America
  5. Dangerous Flirt Free Download Only For Newsletter Subscribers

And I have to tell you that I'm so grateful to be able to be a part of this community and fall into books as a respite from all that is going on. It can be hard to balance staying informed and being overwhelmed. One of the things I recommend is subscribing to the AP's Morning Wire newsletter. It helps keep that balance. Also, finding ways to give back is something that has helped. One of the charities I've volunteered for is my local food bank, which is helped by Feeding America the charity I'm highlighting this month. They are a wonderful organization and help food banks across the country feed folks with food insecurity.
Sending all the hugs. I hope you have a wonderful book to fall into this weekend.
xoxo,
Avery
Now onto this week's top 5!
So I read the first book in this series last fall while driving to Love In The Queen City. It was hysterical and hot and the narrators were PHENOMENAL!!!! However my TBR has grown exponentially since then and I haven't read the follow up All Superheroes Need Photo Ops yet. However, I picked a copy up from the Meet Cute Bookshop during Love Lit Con and am taking it with me to my hair appointment today. I cannot wait to dive in! Also, I very briefly met Elizabeth during Love Lit Con. I do not recommend fan girling out at an author at a con while in the bathroom but … yeah … I'm not super proud BUT she was very gracious. So just in case you thought I was aging out of my dorkiness, now you know that's not the case.

I'm in love with…
Maryland Being Maryland
02
Living in Northern Virginia there is some rivalry with the good folks of Maryland (and their inability to drive), but their love of their state flag, crabs and Old Bay is above reproach. Old Bay is delicious, but still Old Bay Peeps sounds even more disgusting than regular Peeps (team Cadbury Creme Egg forever). So I have to know…

We have a lot happening on my Patreon this month. First off, patrons got a first look at the initial sketch for Hexy Beast's cover! Even that draft is absolutely gorgeous and Leni Kauffman is just so amazingly talented. So cool! And that's just the start of the month. There will be more including a behind the scenes look at Book Lovers Con and a giveaway. I'm also waiting on some BIG publishing news so that will be there when it breaks too!

“Hunger touches us all—and it holds back our families, schools and communities from reaching their full potential. The good news? Together, we can create a future where every person has the food they need to thrive. Discover how hunger affects your neighbors—and how your actions can make a real difference.” One of my favorite things about Feeding America is that money donated is shared with food banks throughout the country. With those funds your local food bank is helping your neighbors. And if you are facing food insecurity, they can help you find the resources you need
