Real (approachable) Style Advice for Real (grown-up) Women withĀ Real (smart) Budgets |

Dear First name / friend, |
Hello friends! Itās been a few weeks since my last update, mostly because February had me buried under three feet of snowā¦or under a cold that turned into a sinus infection. Not much excitement to report on either front. But Iām happy to say February is finally behind us, and winter is (hopefully) heading into the rear-view mirror. Next to summer, spring is my favorite seasonāand definitely my favorite for clothing and styleāso Iām more than ready for it.š¼ Ā I spent this past week in Chicago with my three boys, helping my middle through shoulder surgery on Monday. Thankfully everything went smoothly, heās feeling fine, and we were able to spend a lot of quality time togetherāwith very little actual nursing required on my part, which is good because thatās not exactly my specialty. š Ā The day before surgery we had a really fun Sunday together with all three guys, two girlfriends, and even got to meet one of the girlfriendsā parents. It was one of those great Chicago days that reminded me why itās my favorite city. As much as I miss having the boys nearby, itās nice that theyāre all in the same city (and neighborhood)āthey see each other all the time, and it makes visiting them much easier. Ā Theyāll be home in April for Easter, which weāre already looking forward to.Ā |

1. One Trick to Make Your Winter Outfits Look Springier |
Even though it still feels very winter-y outside, there are a few easy ways to start making your outfits feel a little more spring-ready. Ā In this quick reel I show you one of my favorites: swap in lighter accessories. Ā I kept the outfit formula the same ā jeans + white top + color layer ā but replaced my usual dark accessories with taupe boots, belt, and bag. That one small change lightened up the entire look. Ā These simple tweaks are exactly the kind of practical styling strategies I walk you through inside the Spring Style System, where we focus on organizing your wardrobe, shopping smarter, and creating easy outfits from the clothes you already own. šš¼ |

2. Early Access Is Open: The New & Improved Spring Style System |
Ā If youāve done a Style System before, this version is even more practical and streamlined. It includes an updated Style Guide, Trend Report for Grown-Ups, Wardrobe Checklist, targeted Spring Shopping Catalog, and Daily Outfit Prompts that provide real guidance ā not just inspiration ā for real life and real women. Ā šš¼The goal: smarter shopping, fewer impulse purchases, and better spring outfits. šš¼ |
New! Each week Iāll share one simple thing that makes getting dressed easier or helps you shop a little smarter. Ā Because style doesnāt come from buying more ā it comes from choosing better pieces that work harder. |
Ā Why itās useful: When black (or dark) boots/flats start to feel too heavy but sandals still feel too early, a light neutral shoe bridges the gap between seasons. Taupe, light tan, or soft suede boots or flats keep outfits looking lighter and more current. Ā šš¼ Style tip: Tie the look together with a matching neutral belt. I often pair my taupe Chelsea boots with my taupe belt Ā and bagā that small detail makes the whole outfit feel intentional.Ā Ā It also works best if something else in your outfit is light in color, like your top or a jacket. It doesnāt need to match your shoes ā just echo the lightness. Ā šš¼ Bonus tip: If your shoes are suede, spray them with a suede protector/waterproofer before wearing them. It helps prevent stains and keeps them looking good much longer. |
