Welcome back! And if it's your first time here, thank you for joining us and welcome to The Frequency. We are experimenting with a new format starting this month. Starting with this issue - we're going Monthly
What's New:
  • Monthly Topic: We'll focus on a specific topic each month
  • Articles: We'll link to relevant Rebel 75 articles rather than posting them here
  • Rebel Talks: Our first episode is out. It's an experiment. We're not calling it a podcast. Check it out. Tell us what you think!
  • Tiny Rebellions: Small activations tied to the topic of the month to help you make an immediate impact on your team's relationships.
  • Craft Corner: Leadership is a craft. But it's not the only one. Our work and lives are influenced heavily by craft and design. We want to share out favorites with you.
  • Coming in April - New Branding! Stay tuned.
TOPIC OF THE MONTH
ALIGNMENT
Alignment is one of those words leaders love to say and rarely stop to define. This month, we're poking at that — and what we found might make you squirm a little. Our conversation on the myth of alignment and the latest in our resilience series on Vision and Tenacity are waiting for you. Grab a bevi. Strap in!

Rebel Talks: The Myth of Alignment
In the words of Inigo Montoya - “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” Well, we have lots of A words in our first episode of Rebel Talks, as we explore what it means to be aligned, why it can be so damn hard, and what signals you should watch for on your own team.

As you know, we don't believe in blowing it all up at once! Start small and brave. Like a dandelion shooting up through concrete! Here is this month's tiny rebellion. (hint: if you watched the video, you might already know).

Don't Assume. Ask.
This week, ask your team one question:
"What do you think we're trying to achieve right now — and why does it matter?"

Don't prep them. Give them just enough framing to answer (this year, this quarter, on this project). Then just ask and listen. The answers will tell you everything you need to know about whether your vision is actually landing — or just living in your head.

CRAFT CORNER: Quilting and the Craft of Resistance
This month's craft corner is all about the art of quilting. Jenny and I are both crafters. Makers of many things - foods, clothes, cross stitch, and sometimes quilts. I've come to love quilts as far more than pretty blankets.
