March 20, 2026 (Toronto, ON) — Hot off the success of her breakout single "For the Record," country artist Kelsi Mayne returns today with "Can't Sleep," a vulnerable and aching new track that reveals the side of heartbreak she wasn't ready to show before. Where "For the Record" channelled strength and redemption, "Can't Sleep" strips away Mayne’s self-applied armour, giving fans the opportunity to connect with the award-winning artist on an incredibly personal level.

Co-written and produced by five-time JUNO nominees Illegal Audio (The Strumbellas, Aysanabee, POESY) and mixed by Scott Cooke (Big Loud/Local Hay Records), “Can’t Sleep” sits as the most vulnerable of the tracks on Kelsi’s forthcoming album, arriving June 2026. It finds her in the quiet hours of the night, alone with her thoughts. Where “For The Record” burned with anger, rage and disappointment, this goes deeper into the emotional wreckage of a 10-year relationship, a broken engagement and a subsequent relationship that only deepened the turbulence.

“For The Record was what I needed to say to get myself back up on my feet but 'Can’t Sleep' is how I felt while I was in the thick of it”, explained Mayne. “I almost cancelled my write that day, because, ironically it was a real struggle to get out of bed. I’m really glad I didn’t… the vocal you hear is the same vocal from that day.”

Amassing over 500,000 global streams in just three months and earning coveted support from SiriusXM's The Highway as well as major DSP playlists, "For the Record" has proven to be a defining moment in Mayne's rising career. Building on that momentum, Mayne recently unveiled a cinematic official video that brings the song's sharp, unflinching narrative to life in a way that is sure to resonate deeply with fans and further fuel the track's viral momentum.

One thing is for certain following the release of these two deeply personal tracks: Mayne has begun to tell stories from both sides of the same heart, one broken and one resilient. Together, they paint the complete portrait of a woman navigating one of the most difficult yet defining times in her life, resulting in some of the most emotionally honest music of Mayne's young career.

With more new music on the horizon, the single offers another glimpse into the songwriting that continues to define Mayne’s next chapter.
