Grounded in science, softened with soul. Let’s rewrite what wellness means.

🌸 Welcome to the Heart of GA Wellness
Hey First name / beautiful,
The long weekend arrived at exactly the right time this week and Ellie and I made the most of it.
Saturday was business as usual for us with dance classes, errands and getting organised for the weekend. Once everything was done we packed the car and headed to the beach to celebrate International Women’s Day.
It turned into one of those days where everything just felt easy. The water was crystal blue, the weather was warm and the beach was full of families enjoying the last stretch of summer.
We went to The Beach House. I still call it Magic Mountain, old habits and all that... Ellie and I played mini golf and I was reminded very quickly that she is extremely competitive. I have absolutely no idea where she gets that from….
We also built a sandcastle with a tunnel around it. It turned into quite the architectural project and you will see the final result in this week’s edition.
It was one of those simple but very full days.
Back in GA Wellness world, the podcast has officially returned for 2026 and the Season Mapping Quiz is now live. It has been such a joy seeing the first responses come through and hearing how the results are helping people make sense of the season they are currently in.
I will share a little more about that below.
Which brings me to Ellie this week…

‘Sometimes the most powerful change begins when we step away from the noise long enough to hear ourselves again.'

👧 Ellie’s Corner
Ellie is doing so well at the moment and it has been beautiful watching her confidence grow.
She is learning new tricks at acro and working on her handsprings. The progress she has made recently has been incredible.
She is also becoming much more aware of her routine and what is coming up during the week. She often asks what the plan is for the next few days and likes knowing how everything fits together.
The other day we were walking to the gym playground and stopped at the swings at her school first. We both sat there swinging and she happily gave me a full rundown of her day. What happened in class, how she felt about it and what she enjoyed the most.
Those small conversations are my favourite moments.
Ellie is naturally quite competitive which can be a wonderful quality when it is balanced well. What I love seeing is that she is also learning when to slow things down and just enjoy the moment.
That kind of awareness is a beautiful skill to develop early.

☕ The Freedom Edit
☀️ Mad March Moments
March always has a certain energy in Adelaide and this week definitely lived up to it.
After our beach day on Saturday, the long weekend continued with one of those slower afternoons that end up being just as memorable.

A Walk by the Lake
On Monday Ellie and I walked over to the park near the gym playground. The walk itself was beautiful. The air was fresh and everything felt calm after a busy few days.
We grabbed fish and chips from Nik’s on the Lake and sat by the water. Unfortunately Ellie decided the birds and seagulls should also enjoy the chips. Slight tragedy because the chips there are incredibly good.

Fringe Season
During the week we also managed to fit in a Fringe show that was held locally in the northern suburbs. It was a variety show and such a fun night out. Fringe season always brings a different energy to Adelaide and it is one of the things I love about living here.

Finding My Running Rhythm
I also made it out for a run on Saturday morning (and Tuesday!). After being out of my routine for a while, it felt good to start finding my running rhythm again.

One More Fringe Night
Tonight I am heading into the city with one of my best friends to see a couple more Fringe shows and spend some time in the Garden while the festival is still here.
They call it Mad March for a reason… and honestly, I would not have it any other way.

🎙️ The Podcast Is Back
The GA Wellness Podcast officially returned this week for the first episode of 2026.
Pressing publish again after the break felt really special. Sitting down behind the microphone always feels a little like sitting down for a conversation with you.
This year we will continue exploring the seasons we move through as women, how our nervous system responds to the pace of life and how small choices can help us move through our days with more clarity.
You can read a little more about this week’s episode just below.

🌿 The Season Mapping Quiz Is Now Live
Another big milestone this week is the official release of the Season Mapping Quiz.
This has been something I have been quietly building for a while and it has been such a joy to see the first responses coming through.
My beautiful mum Tina kindly took it for a test run and her feedback made me smile. She said the process was simple, she loved the questions and the result felt accurate for the season she is currently moving through.
Mum is in a bit of a transition season at the moment and one of the suggestions the quiz offered was something very practical. It suggested ordering groceries online and having them delivered for a while.
She told me that seeing that recommendation helped some of the weight she had been carrying feel a little lighter.
That moment captured exactly why I created this quiz.
Sometimes the most helpful thing is having a small anchor and a simple direction that fits the season you are in.

🎙️ The GA Wellness Podcast: Episode 021 Is Live
Living with Intention: I Did What I Said I’d Do and This Is What Changed
This week’s episode reflects on what happened when I followed through on my intention to step away from routine and create real space in my life. After booking a New Year’s cruise and unplugging from work, I noticed how quickly things began to shift. My energy changed, my digestion improved and I found myself parenting with more patience and presence. In this conversation I share what happens to the brain and body when cognitive load drops, why supportive environments matter and what I learned about living with intention rather than constantly pushing through busy seasons.

🎧 From the Podcast Vault
Many readers like to save these conversations for a walk, a quiet cuppa or the school run.

It takes a few minutes to complete and will help you identify the season you are currently moving through, along with a few practical ideas you can try this week.

🌟 Community Spotlight - The Power of Sharing a Conversation
Something lovely happened this week that reminded me how powerful it is when the right messages reach the right people.
My new podcast editor recently sent me a message telling me how much she loves the content of the podcast. When she first mentioned it while editing an episode, I assumed it was simply a kind comment in passing. As it turns out, she has been listening through the episodes and exploring the whole catalogue!
She has also shared the podcast with her own email community.
Moments like that mean a lot to me it mean the conversations we are having here are reaching more women who may need to hear them.
GA Wellness has always been about creating a space where real women can slow down, reconnect with themselves and feel supported in the season they are in.
Seeing that ripple outward this week felt really special.

If something you read here resonates with you, please feel free to share it with a friend who might enjoy being part of this space. That simple act is often how this community grows.

🌿 Reflection Prompts
What in your life currently feels like constant pressure or mental load?

Where have you noticed your body asking for more space or rest?

What is one small way you could create a little more room in your week right now?

☕ Mini Practice
Take one quiet moment today and step away from your phone, your to-do list and the noise around you.
Ask yourself one simple question.
What actually matters today?
Choose one small action that supports that answer and let that guide the rest of your day.

🌿 A Small Moment Before You Go
As the pace of life picks up again after a long weekend, it can be easy to move straight back into routines without noticing how we actually feel.
This week reminded me how powerful simple moments can be. A walk by the lake. Watching Ellie build a sandcastle. Finding my running rhythm again. Sitting in a theatre during Fringe and simply enjoying the moment.
None of those things were complicated, yet each one created space to breathe a little more deeply.
Before you move on with the rest of your day, take a moment to notice this.
What is one small moment from this week that helped you feel a little more like yourself?

Thanks for letting me walk this journey with you. You are exactly why I do this work.
