Dear Yahel community,

We are now in the fourth week of this war. Four weeks of uncertainty, grief, and the particular exhaustion that comes from not knowing what comes next. Israel is carrying an enormous weight right now, and so are many of you, wherever you are in the world.

In the middle of all of it, Yahel's work continues — and in some ways, it has never felt more necessary.

Our fellows remain safe and are volunteering in hands-on, meaningful ways: packing food, supporting the elderly, helping children in shelters, assembling emergency kits for relief centers. Alongside them, we have been mobilizing hundreds of volunteers through our growing collaboration with Masa Israel Journey — bringing groups from across the country to communities in Jerusalem, Yerucham, Lod, Tel Aviv, Haifa and beyond. Last week, some of that work brought volunteers to pack Pesach and Eid el-Fitr food packages with Kulna in Jerusalem — a reminder that shared work can hold a lot of meaning, even in hard times.

Our emergency crowdfunding campaign is still open. Your support goes directly to our partners on the ground and the supplies that make this work possible:

Along with this update, we are sharing Yahel's 2025 Annual Report. The achievements of the past year — the growth, the partnerships, the infrastructure we built — are not separate from our ability to respond right now. They are the reason we can. The foundations we laid in 2025 are what allow us, once again, to meet this moment with resilience. We hope you'll take a few minutes to read through it — not as a pause from the present, but as a reminder of what we've built together, and why it holds.

Thank you for staying close,
Dana
