The accountability and feedback groups run from April 21st - June 29th 2026. Each week you'll receive an email thread with an optional songwriting prompt. You must submit a complete song each week by 11:59pm Monday night. Submissions can be anything from a voice memo to a fully produced track.

My intention with the group is to create a safe space for artists to be writing and completing songs consistently in community. Bring yourself where you’re at! It doesn’t have to be perfect. Take the pressure off and focus on the task of completion.

More info:
Our intention with the Root to Rise group is to support singer-songwriters with the whole picture of what it takes to make a long lasting career as a creative. You’ll walk away from this program with a whole new set of skills, habits, and the confidence to help you rise to the next level.

What sets this program apart is that we’re not just focused on developing your technical skills. We'll also support you to cultivate positive self beliefs, heal the inner critic, use song analysis to up-level your songwriting, learn from industry professionals to advocate for your artistry, work in collaboration, structure your vocal warmup and manage nerves. These tools will allow you to create memorable songs and performances that are built on intention, direction and connection.

“Charisma isn’t just skin deep: it’s the outward manifestation of an inner state of balance and a willingness to live in the moment, it’s presence.” Patsy Rodenburg, The Second Circle

Testimonials

"Rainee’s thoughtfulness in the co-write pairings, the weekly writing prompts, the local meet ups to get to know each other in person plus the co-writes themselves, really made this one of my favorite things I’ve participated in all year. I finished the 10 weeks with 10 new songs and a handful of new musician friends I am excited to work with! I cannot wait for the next one!"
- Ashley Desiree

"This group brought me such joy and inspiration each week. Having active prompts and a bit of structure within my creativity allowed songs to come out of me I'm not sure otherwise would have"
- Tori Thomas

"Rainee’s Songwriting Accountability Group was the perfect thing at the perfect time for me. Not only did it introduce me to a whole new songwriter community in my new hometown of Los Angeles, it also forced me to exercise my creative and collaborative muscles in a way I hadn’t in years. I’m very grateful for that."
- Todd Lewis Kramer

Group Rules

1. Anything shared in the group is confidential. No outside sharing of songs without permission from the artist.

2. Only positive, if any, feedback allowed. Listening to other people’s work is totally optional!

3. You are allowed to miss two weeks but if you miss three, you’ll be out of the group!  This is the accountability part!

4. Your song has to be written that week. Alternatively you can finish a song idea that you started earlier.

5. For the Feedback Group, it is encouraged that you be at all the in-person sessions but it's not mandatory.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to getting this round started!

Happy writing,
   Rainee Blake
