Hello First name / friend, happy Spring. I hope you've had a beautiful start to this season. 🌸
 ⠀
I’m writing to share a few very sweet and spring-like updates.
 ⠀
First of all, thank you to everyone who ordered a Little Free Library 4-pack! I sold through my stock in just a few days, and I’ve started receiving photos of where the books are being shared in the world. It’s such a joy to see them travel from city to city, and I’m so grateful for your support. 💞
Coming up this weekend, I myself will be traveling to Traverse City, Michigan to do a book reading with my friend and fellow attention-tender Cody Cook-Parrot. I've admired Cody’s work for years, and I’m thrilled to support them with the release of their new book, The Practice of Attention.
If you haven’t gotten a copy of Cody’s book yet, I actually have a discount code from Bookshop – so you can use the code BSO15 to take 15% off your purchase if you buy from this link.
And if you happen to be in Northern Michigan (or just five hours away like my adventure-seeking Chicago friends), please join us at The Folded Leaf this Saturday. There will be a reading and Q&A. We start at 5 PM. I will also have cute buttons and stickers for any Off the Grid fans who stop by.

I also want to share that my reading in San Francisco was so beautiful, and I’m incredibly grateful to Sarah and Katherine Fontaine, to Actually People zine, and to Blackbird Book Store and Café for hosting me.
That night was truly a high point of my entire creative career so far, and I’m genuinely obsessed with everyone who came out for the conversation.
Here's the only photo captured of the event. Everyone had their phones away the whole time, which felt like a beautiful and blessed experience for all of us. I love people who love talking about attention!

And finally two quick notes about my work-world –
If you’re tuned in to Off the Grid, you likely know that this month I am sharing an AI series where I’m talking about how generative AI tools are reshaping our lives and creative work. I really enjoyed putting it together, and here’s a link to all the episodes if you’d like to explore it.
I’m also preparing to teach a class about teaching in May. It’ll be called COME TO CLASS: How to Teach Online with Confidence and Care. I have a tiny waitlist growing at this link –  if you’re interested in learning more throughout the spring and potentially joining us.
Thank you so much for being here and reading this, First name / my friend. I’m always grateful for your attention, because I truly do believe that it’s sacred.
Sending you a big hug and a bouquet of spring joy. 💐

xoxo, Amelia

P.S. In case you scrolled straight to the bottom, I'll be in Traverse City, MI this weekend for a book event with Cody Cook-Parrot!  Details & RSVP here.
