Hey First name / beautiful, Last weekend Ellie and I spent more time at the beach and honestly, I thought… why not?
We’re pretty lucky here in Adelaide because March still feels like summer to me. The weather is warm, the days may be shorter but we still get this extra little pocket of time to enjoy it before daylight saving stops.
So, we ended the day with dinner at Doughballs and it was just magic, good food, good company, gorgeous sunset and no rush to be anywhere else.
On Sunday we had Greek Independence Day celebrations and Ellie stood up at church and presented her poem, by heart, in front of everyone. I was so proud of her. There is something about watching your child step into something like that, especially when they are a little nervous but do it anyway.
It stays with you.
Which brings me to Ellie this week… 💛

👧 Ellie’s Corner
Ellie has had a big week and we’re starting something new with her this year which is the Oliphant Science Awards. I’m actually really excited about it. Every year I usually take her to Science Alive and if I’m honest, I’ve always loved science myself. I studied Biology in Year 12 and then went on to complete a Human Movement certificate alongside my Business double degree, so I’m sure some of that has rubbed off on her over time.
For us, this isn’t about winning anything. It’s about the experience. What she learns and explores plus giving her the chance to follow her curiosity is what's important.
We haven’t chosen a project yet, but I’m really looking forward to supporting her through it and I’ll definitely keep you updated as we go.
In true Ellie fashion, she has also been tumbling everywhere. We now have a bit of a routine where we head to the park across the road from our house, since I don’t have grass in the backyard and she runs through all the new tricks and routines she’s been learning.
It’s been such a beautiful thing to watch her build confidence in that space.
☕ The Freedom Edit
🏖️ Still holding onto summer
We’ve really been leaning into the warm weather while it is still here because you can feel that it won’t last forever.
Beach days have become a bit of a regular thing again and I’ve been finding myself saying yes to them more instead of putting them off for another time ‘cause I don’t know if we'll have another time this season.
🏃♀️ A small milestone
I also hit a bit of a milestone this week, which I was really happy about.
I ran 10.2 kilometres on Saturday, which is the longest run I’ve done so far. This for me was all about staying consistent and seeing how far I could go. Like I always say small steps, lasting change.

🎙️ A different pace this year
In GA Wellness, things feel very different this year and I’ve noticed that the past few weeks.
I’m not overbuilding anymore, I’m listening more and being mindful of how I use my energy. My weeks feel more intentional. I’m batching more, planning ahead where it makes sense and creating space where I can.
You’ll always get these Digest emails in real time though because I want you to see what’s actually happening in my world as it happens.
🎧 Building the next arc
Right now I’m working on a new podcast arc called Rest and Repair, which is all about sleep.
I’ll be recording the first couple of episodes this weekend but you won’t hear them for another four to five weeks and that’s very intentional.
It gives my editing team the time they need to go through everything properly and it means we can focus on getting the quality and flow right.
Working this way has made the whole process feel smoother and I’m really enjoying that shift.
🌿 The Season Mapping Quiz
The Season Mapping Quiz is now out in the world, which has been really exciting to see.
If it’s helped you, I’d love for you to share it with someone else. It would be beautiful to bring more women into this space and if I can help someone feel more calm and bring more energy in their day, that would mean the world to me.
Living with Intention: HowLetting Go Changed My Relationships and Nervous System
This week’s episode looks at what changed in my relationship with Ellie when I stopped trying to manage everything and gave her a bit more space. I share what I noticed on the cruise, especially at kids club, where I took a step back and trusted her to lead. We talk about how things started to feel easier between us, how she responded differently and what happens when you are not holding everything so tightly all the time.
Many readers like to save these conversations for a walk, a quiet cuppa or the school run.
If this week’s episode had you thinking about how your relationships shift when you stop holding everything so tightly, these episodes will help you go a little deeper. If you missed last week’s episode, that’s a really good place to start.
Episode 021
Living with Intention: I Did What I Said I’d Do and This Is What Changed
This is where this part of the conversation really started. I share what happened when I stepped away from routine, created space and noticed how different things felt when I wasn’t constantly rushing.
It takes a few minutes to complete and will help you identify the season you are currently moving through, along with a few practical ideas you can try this week.
🌟 Community Spotlight - The Power of Sharing a Conversation
Something I’ve been noticing more over the past couple of weeks is how the podcast is starting to reach new people.
I’ve had a few messages come through from people wanting to be guests, which is really exciting to see. It tells me the podcast is getting out there a little more.
At the same time, I’m very intentional about who I bring on and the conversations we have, so I take my time with that process.
It means these conversations are reaching women I may never meet, but who might need to hear them and that’s always been the heart behind GA Wellness. If this week’s email made you think of someone, feel free to forward it on.
That’s usually how this space grows 🤍
🌿 Reflection Prompts
Where in your life might you be holding on a little too tightly right now?
What feels easier when you give yourself or someone else a bit more space?
What is one small thing you could let go of this week to make your day feel lighter?
☕ Mini Practice
Notice one moment today where you feel the urge to step in, fix something or take control.
Pause for a second.
Ask yourself, does this actually need me right now?
If not, take a step back and see what happens instead.
🌿 A Small Moment Before You Go
I’ve noticed this week how different things feel when I don’t jump in straight away.
With Ellie, I’ve let her take the lead a bit more instead of stepping in and it’s actually been really nice to watch.
Even little things like saying yes to the beach or just going with the day instead of overthinking it have made a difference.
Before you move on with the rest of your day, take a moment to notice this
Is there something you could leave alone for a bit this week and see what happens?
Thanks for letting me walk this journey with you. You are exactly why I do this work.
