The JLC Book Sale this week is the perfect spot to stock up before spring break. They have thousands of books, DVDs, Puzzles, Games, & More.
It all starts on Wednesday with the Pre-Sale and Teachers Night. Then continues through Saturday. Join them at The Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds

Spring Break starts after school on Friday. Make sure your kids are signed up for camps and check out our Spring Break Guide for fun ideas if you are home.
The JLC Book Sale continues through Saturday – a perfect time to stock up on reading material (or puzzles) for spring break!
Friday after school, teens are invited to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library on North Campus for Use Your Voice with Jean Alicia Elster.

Celebrate March is Reading Month -
Friday night, you can enjoy Family Trivia Night at Ann Arbor Senior Center, Euchre Friday at HOMES, or plan a date night by sending the kids to Cats and Kids at Tiny Lions Lounge.
Every year the first weekend of spring break is the Dance for Mother Earth Powwow at Skyline High School. Watch the festivities on Saturday, Sunday, or both days.
 
There are also Easter events this weekend including an Easter Egg Hunt in Milan and Washtenaw Christian Academy. Enjoy a day on the farm with Easter Visits at Carousel Acres on Saturday or Sunday. Or join Hide & Seek Play Boutique for Spring Event – Photos, Crafts, Scavenger Hunt on Saturday morning.
Catch a show at a library with A2 Magic Show at Dexter or The Phil Hale Jazz Quartet at YDL- Superior. Or bring your little one to YDL-Whittaker to try out their own circus show tricks with Cirque AmongUs at YDL- Whittaker.
 
The Ann Arbor Film Festival runs through the weekend. In particular, Saturday at 1:30p is Films in Competition 9: Almost All Ages at Michigan Theater.
 
Sunday is Dino Day! at AADL-Downtown. Or you can join the Googly Eye-stravaganza at AADL-Westgate.
 
Are your kids into robotics? There will be a FIRST FRC (high school) robotics competition at Saline High School on Saturday and Sunday. Local teams completing include Ypsilanti HS, Pioneer HS, Skyline HS, Saline HS, Milan HS, WTMC, Central Academy, Father Gabriel Richard, WiHi, and Forsythe/Skyline.
And don’t forget activities happening all March like Maple Sugaring events, STEM Saturdays at Briarwood, and FoolMoon Luminary Workshops.

Looking Forward to Next Week
It’s Spring Break so there are lots of activities all week long. Ypsilanti District Library has daily STEM activities at Whittaker and Michgan Avenue. Launch Trampoline is running a Spring Break Staycation special.
 
Check out Saline Distict Library for fun events like The Floor is Lava!, Escape Room: Houdini’s Secret Room, Dragon Quest or a Family Bird Walk. Join Dexter District Library on Tuesday for Sundaes and Games or an InvestiGators Party on Wednesday
 
 
Join Ann Arbor Parks for K-5 Animal Tracks on Monday or Nature Crafts: Plants to Jam on Tuesday. Wednesday head up to Kensington Metropark for a Family Hike.
 
The University of Michigan Museum of Natural History is open on Monday for spring break. They are also holding an Undergraduate Research Showcase on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
 
We’ve also got suggestions for Staycations and Day Trip outings.
Next Weekend's Highlights
Next weekend is Easter Weekend. There are lots of Easter events starting on Friday with Breakfast with the Bunny at Toledo Zoo and Bunnyville at Detroit Zoo. Friday afternoon you can Hop into Spring at Wasem Fruit Farm. Then Saturday is full of Easter egg hunts including Hop, Skip, Spring! at Gallup Park, Spring Eggstravaganza at LSNC, Pittsfield’s Easter Egg Hunt at Montibeller, Saline Rec Spring Fest Egg Hunt, and more. Sunday make sure you have your Easter brunch reservations or join an Easter Egg Hunt at Stone Chalet.
